Taking nothing away from a great comeback and a battling team effort with excellent performances by Butland, Cameron, Arnie and 2 super subs . But arguably our best 3 players were missing in Shawcross, Bojan and Shaqiri. Lot more to come especially in the second half of the season as we gel as a team.

I'm really excited to see us in the second half of the season if Shawcross and Bojan can recover properly!

It was always going to be a very tough start, Liverpool at home, who wanted some sort of revenge, 2 away matches and then West Brom, where Pulis is undefeated v us since leaving. We weren't great v Livepool but didn't deserve to lose. Today, it would seem we got battered in the first half, but we have come away with a great point and there are quite a few positives. Stephen Ireland, back from nowhere to provide the spark for the comeback, I rate him as an away player anyway. Joselus turn!!!, and apparently played well, I'd forgotten about him. Whelans steel as well, and as the original poster pointed out without our 3 potentially best players. Afelley and Van Ginkle need some time to see where they exactly fit it, oh and Arnie looks on fire
I think its going to be a good season
