14 August 2010 was the first time Ryan Shawcross wore the permanent captain's armband.
We might have lost that day to Wolves, but what a five year spell we've had under him.
Well done Ryan, and hope to see you back soon.

Only been going to Stoke since 1994, so Ryan is my generations version of Dennis Smith. Committed through and through, doesn't let England or Ramsey trouble come in the way of playing for our club.
Both him and his Mrs are absolutely fantastic people, down to earth with no heirs or graces about them and always friendly and willing to have a chat (normally see her in the upper tier)
Legend is used way to much today, however it is absolutely apt in this case.
