Back in February Bejibiscuit stated that Stoke's summer 2015 Nett spend would be £5m well,so far,our Nett spend (by my calucilations) is pretty much about that or less In Shaq £12m,Joselu £5.5m,Wollsheid, £3.5m Out Begovic £8m, Nzonzi £7m, Huth £3m I've probably got the figures wrong OK we might buy or sell some more players but quite concievably maybe not. Not good enough is it Scholes out... Seriously anyone give a monkeys? Is the squad betterr right now?

Er, by my maths that makes a £3m net spend, which is even more impressive.

There will be some hidden costs too for Johnson. There's no such thing as a free transfer.

Didn't Johnson take a big wage cut? If so you'd imagine that he would of had a generous sign on fee.

And then you read other fans complaining about our business in terms of FFP.

However, Blackburn got a proportion of the N'Zonzi fee so it would be about £3.2m. A poster made the point about 'signing-on' fees but I believe 'L-P' said these are classed as wages as they are spread across the duration of the contract? It means our business has been incredibly efficient and all credit to MH and the 'pizza boys' for this. Poor old 'benji' has had a bit of a shellacking recently but it's a fair point that we're still a long way off other clubs spending e.g. CPFC, WHU and NUFC. We're also a long way off 'TP's' £20m one window splurge! A lot now depends for big spending if the 'Yarmo' deal is pulled off?

Benji is fine thanks
First i am as delighted as any other stoke fan with the signing
Second the net spend is now In line with my February forcast as defined by thks thread
Third still believe we need more yarma would take us up to £20 millio. Which is a material investment as required albeit personally id prefer a midfield general but as ever faith In Hughes judgement .

I agree with the midfield general but it's the CH general we're missing that scares me far more!

If one of you chaps who seem to have lots of time on your hands could work out MH's net spend since he took over I think that would make good reading.
Clearly Pulis has to take some credit for the purchasing of Bego and Zonzi as we've managed to turn a reasonable profit on them.
I really don't think MH has spent a lot in the couple of years he has been in charge and to compare the squad that we now have in unbelievable.
Exciting times ahead without doubt.

Because of this though we still have a warchest for this window and potentially january if required for a push in fortunes and we can still take a long term loan ,aswell as allegedly having already agreed a price with chelski for van ginkel if suitably impressed a very good window so far in my opinion.
