They sell Stella in cans? Yeah saw them this weekend at the grocers. Talking to the lad who stocks the beer fridge the Stella tastes better in cans. The bottles let in too much UV and it goes skunk easier. Skunked Stella is awful but still reckon bottled tastes better than cans if you can get it in sealed boxes. Big trend in the UK for it now.

Love the fact that Tony is managing West Brazil. The nearest equivalent is Wenger managing us.

From what I've seen on Twatter they do go a bit mad when Pocnogoli is it? doesn't get picked at left back. The actual full backs under TP have been; Marcus Hall Clive Clarke John Halls Andy Wilkinson Carl Dickinson Steven Wright Andy Griffin Danny Pugh Stephen Kelly Anyone else? Didn't we have a guy on loan from Middlesboro at right back around our promotion season. His name alludes me and I should research it but can't be arsed.

I'm pretty sure Wilko and Dicko started out as centre halves when they were in the youth teams and were converted to full backs.

You boys annoy me. I told you last season exactly what to expect, I gave you the dossier. Anyway I will summarise
Goalkeeper. Giant with good hands. Kicking the ball is not too important as one of his pals in defence is employed to do that.
Centre half. Most important player on the pitch. This is the quarterback who sprays long passes into areas of the pitch. Either the channel or onto the Big un. Most likely to be a Giant
Centre half 2. Will definitely be a Giant. Again likely to be able to spray passes into the channels and into the Big un but primary aim is to hold the line and give the ball to centre half 1 to spray the ball about.
Left back. Likely to be a converted centre half. Will play very central. Has three jobs, hold the line. Give the ball to CB1 to launch or try and win a throw in.
Rb. Likely to be a utility man with a good engine. Helpful if he can throw the ball a long way but definitely needs to be able to kick long. The utility man's job is to cover holes that form in the back 8 should anyone be caught out of position as well as get back to rb if needed. A good engine here is necessity
Centre mid. Dog of war 1. Patrols in front of centre half winning balls and giving to centre half to launch. Needs a good engine.
Centre mid 2. Dog of war 2. See above. Also nice to have one dog of war who can shoot from range. Note central miss are lambasted for leaving own half that is not their role.
Left wing. Pace pace pace and good engine. Integral part of back 8 but has the freedom to run Down the line as a decoy for the ball to the Big un or to chase a ball in the channel.
Right wing. Generally the free-kick taker and corner taker. The flair player. Again has defensive responsibilities and ideally has a dog.
Big un. He is the target for 90 percent. Also known as the mama role. Also falls back into the cage if required. Primary job is to win headers. Cause mayhem in the box.
Little UN. Chases bits and pieces off big un and possible through balls into the channels. Little UN here is relative. Still likely to be 6,3 just smaller than the Big un

I remember seeing Huth bombing up the wing from full back in the Europa League, or did I dream that up?

Whoever he plays he'll keep WBA up with his eyes closed. It won't be pretty but that's what you get. It will be interesting to listen to WBA fans during the season.

The only time Tone will play a full back is when he is used as a wide midfielder to provide extra cover for the hulking great centre backs installed on the flanks of your defence. Enjoy....... One game to reinforce the Pulis credo - we needed to go to QPR and win to get into the Championship play-offs; he played a team with 6, yes 6, natural centre backs in it and we drew 0-0. Clean sheet though! Very fair points but we didn't draw 0-0. I cant remember the score (though seem to remember a 2-1 defeat or 2-2 draw) but I can distinctly remember mama scoring a tap in near the end of the game

I'll just leave that out there for consideration.

Who were your fullbacks under Tony?Specialised fullbacks or centre backs? On our boards people are having a fit that we aren't signing fullbacks, but he use fullbacks in any case?Appreciate your views to settle the arguments cheers. By the way well impressed with your signings last couple of windows Four big lads across the back. You won't win the Premier League title with 'em, (you won't win it with proper full-backs either) but it'll keep your defence solid. It's not just Tone who does it. Lescott and Richards at Man City and Ivanovic at Chelsea all played either CB or FB.

Proved conclusively last season by Mark Hughes, the goals against column and the entertainment on offer.

Well it doesn't take a great deal to go on to West Brom message boards and conclude this is no quite the burning issue that wingy, I mean "fullback" suggests. Then again as you regularly swallow Scholes jizz its no surprise to me that you've fallen for the worst practical joke since Cardinal Wolsey took his knob out, and stood at the end of the corridor pretending to be a door. Fuck me what suckers you are.

I particularly enjoyed the away game to Gillingham in the FA Cup a few years ago. He managed to have a back four of Huth, Upson, Woodgate and Shawcross.
The horror show at Ewood Park in the first year up shall not be mentioned.
