Johnson getting '8' is up there with the all-time squad number howlers. Up there with Steve Sidwell getting '9' at Chelsea mirror o8 - Glen Johnson The former Liverpool and England right-back is a lot of things. A creative central midfield player he is not - so can someone please explain to us why Stoke have decided to make him their new No8?nline article worst ever squad numbers:

Perhaps Johnson will play as a right winger at times? That would kind of explain the number 8. why didn't he get 4??

Beardsley still No 2 Beardsley - haven't thought about him in years - good player in his day though although he had more clubs than you could shake a stick at. Born in Hexam - I have a second cousin living there - nice town. Same here - could strike the ball with zero back lift, once saw him do the goalie with his eyes from 30yds away.
