Ross County? That it? What league do they play in? SPL Oh I underestimate them. Awful league though, it's about the only football I just can't bring myself to watch. I will have to now if Ross County are on BT (presuming they'll still show it).

Must confess, I had no idea what league they were in without looking.
May be grossly unfair, but SPL seems a bit of a joke league these days.
No idea what level it translates to south of the border, but I'd be surprised if it was League One level.
Still, regular games are what kiddies of his age need

I am surprised that if goodish English league club didn't make us an offer to take him on loan. Perhaps they did but Stoke didn't reckon they were the right team.

Saves a penalty and the poor fucker gets rewarded with Scottish football.
What's he done to deserve that?!

Is it really such a good move? ** that bit is bullshit but the sentiment is the same. Bachmann has been around too long. If he is good enough why not put him in with D1/Championship clubs? Is he really such a good prospect?

Is he really such a good prospect? Most Championship clubs will have their goalkeeper position for next season nailed down. He'd probably only get games if the No. 1 got injured. So SPL, as with Div 1, will toughen him up. As for opinion as a prospect - I'll leave that to the people at the club whose judgement counts.

Ross County average gate = 3525

Ross County - that's my nearest Scottish League team which is just over 100 miles down the road. Ross County play in the small town of Dingwall which had a population of only 5491 in the 2011 census. If you've ever travelled on the train from Inverness to Thurso on the north coast or Kyle of Lochalsh on the west coast then you will have passed right by their ground.

Ross County average gate = 3525 Dingwall, which is the home town of Ross County, has a population of 5,500. So, even if you double this figure to account for 'supporters' from the surrounding area, their gate equates to 32% of the population. So Stoke, based on 250,000 population, should get attendances of around 80,000. As if often said, there's statistics, statistics and .................. (Apologies to a local who has faster fingers than me!)

Decent step up from Wrexham. Good luck! Not so sure about that, mate ... I am all about positivity but the standard up there is good for his confidence only. As my mate said the other day when Rangers and Hibs crossed swords: only thing seperating that lot from Charlie Adam is a sweet left peg and 10 stone! Talk about packing on the timber, looks like those lads were on the Ale all summer singing "Flower of Scotland"

Saw Jayne County at the Wheatsheaf in Stoke. Strange and wild.
Good luck to Bachmann, obviously attracted to mountains. Didn't Butland do a couple of days a week back training at Stoke while out on loan. Don't think it'll be practical for Daniel to do that. Shame from that aspect. But hope it works out well.

Quite possibly, or look for a closer {Championship} Club with a goalkeeping need in jan. We'll see. I just liked the idea of keeping those kind of links. Seems like good practice. Keeps a player in the 'fold' etc.
