Doesn't look like he will have much of a pre-season so I would say provided there are no set backs we may see a couple of substitute cameo appearances in late September and all being well he might start a game in October.
That is what it feels like to me.
Is that in line with expectations/public declarations from the club?

I would hope he sits out until the end of August. Maybe 15 minutes here and there.

I think he might get some minutes in Cologne and if he does maybe he'll be on the bench early on in the season but I reckon we might not see him starting games until October at least.

The question is when will we see him back at 100% ? The first game he starts. Doubtful. Look how long it is taking Odemwingie to get back to a level where he can start Premiership Football. I would say we wont see the best of him until after Christmas providing he can start games in October.

Agree with this, if he hits form about the same time as he did last season that would be perfect. Don't want to risk him and do further damage.

It's only 6 months since his ACL went . Wouldn't be surprised if he took another 2or 3 months

Is there any hint he might be playing this weekend?
He seems ridiculously close to be being back.

He's progressed faster than thought. He's weeks not months away from getting minutes. He could even start this weekend it sounds like.

I'd be surprised if he didn't play against Liverpool in some capacity. Likely off the bench where the roar will send earthquakes through the land.

I'm betting September 24th. Alternatively, November 1st, my third guess, blessed as I am with near perfect knowledge, is January 22nd.

Didn't he run up Mount Everest during pre season? That's the kind of shit Bojan polishes off for fun. Over the summer months, whilst Charlie Adam is tackling pasties, our Catalan catalyst is tackling mountains.
I expect nothing less than 90 minutes and a hat trick against the bin dippers. Before shagging Brendan's wife whilst he speaks in the third person during his post match press conference.
"That's not what I expect from a Brendan Rodger's team....."

We have to give the lad 12 months to make a proper recovery.
Same goes for Odem - he looks a shadow of his former self at the moment and is still miles off getting his old pace and acceleration back.
