Chris Samba. Out in Russia, last year of his contract and his family still live over here. Hughes knows him, signed him and got the best out of him at Blackburn. Perfect. MH and co will have been making contingency plans (possible below the radar.) In the meantime he needs to get a team organised for our next game The forwards can take some of the pressure of our defence by getting at Liverpool from the off.

Perhaps not but if you don't go young on loan you go old. Who? Curtis Davies? Yeah seems to be a Hull fire sale on.

He's had all summer to see a back specialist. What the fuck have we been playing at? Doing the right thing The best things for backs are waiting to see if it settles itself which it obviously hasn't happened as spinal surgery is big shit The medical people aren't stupid mate He's had the injury since January or is six months not long enough?

Biggest bollock dropped by any Prem. team, replacing him with woeful Wolly for the same money, we now need two CB's have not replaced Zonz bought a striker who we probably did not need, a back up goalkeeper who is over the hill and one of the worst defenders to have played for England who was finished two seasons ago, piss poor transfer dealings both in and out. Way over the top. I agree with your Huth comment but the rest is out of all proportion IMO. We have brought in Van Ginkel who is good enough for Chelse and Milan, so I'm certain he deserves a chance before you write him off as a Nzonzi replacement. Given is a great signing as he can not only be a very solid backup, but he also provides fantastic experience for Butland to learn from. Johnson was a free transfer gamble, and may well do a decent job for us when he is match fit and up to pace. Afalley is also a quality addition to the forward line. Add to this that Bojan and Wingie are almost ready and we missed them for the last 6 months. If we bring in a CB and a winger, we have a decent squad. If he is good enough for Chelsea why is he on loan with us ? Given is way past his best not as good as Sorro, Johnson is shit end of, Afalley may be a quality addition time will tell, are you writing Joselu off already although he does look way off the pace to be fair to you.

Audacious bid for Robert Huth from Leicester now they have a new manager in place, not the best playing out from the back but a proper no nonsense dependable defender who can actually play the position properly, might be surplus to the new style of football Leicester will be looking to employ.

We can sign all the wingers we like. But, unless we get a commanding first choice centre half in we'll need to score 4 goals every week to stand any chance of winning a game.

I suppose it's hindsight but the club appear to have fucked up massively 'managing' the injury as Hughes puts it

What the fucking hell have we been playing at allowing Huth to go and signing Wollscheid the this was clearly an ongoing problem / risk

He basically missed February and then came back and still looked injured for the time. It's not great. And Arnie has done his thigh again and we continue to get lots of muscle injuries, questions have to be asked!

To find ourselves needing a CB when we've just signed one whom we already knew to be as solid at the back as a tub of jelly is rather baffling; comic we're it not tragic

I've just looked at the games Shawcross missed after his injury against QPR and to my astonishment we won 3 consecutive games with Wilson and Wollschied as a pairing but with Muniesa and Wollschied together we had a couple of heavy defeats.I never thought i say this but maybe Wilson gets the best out of Pans

Because when he got that serious injury we decided to attempt to replace him with an, uh hum, ball playing center back. I am fairly sure there was some falling out with the management team too as he was coming back around the time of 'nein cock' gate when Huthy got fined by the FA, wonder if he was insufficiently remorseful or something, who knows For me the worst of all world's is a center back who thinks he can play a bit but he can't. I'd rather have a Huth type player who knows he can defend but rather than pretend he can play a bit still knows the quickest way to launch the ball in to Row Z when necessary. The management team must know they have fucked up here but I am not expecting an admission.

Not to cause further concern..
For what it's worth this is what I'm told. I have no reason to post bullshit and I'm not one for causing anymore negativity than what is on this board already..
Ryan has been struggling significantly more than the management team have let on. He's been struggling with every day tasks like getting up the stairs, picking up his children and on some days even walking is causing excruciating pain. The club aren't willing to pay for treatment of the injury and it could potentially be career threatening.
Don't know anymore about the situation or why the club aren't willing to pay for treatment.

If this is the kind of thing that's been doing the internet rounds over the last 24 hours, then it's worth noting that Mrs Shawcross tweeted last night that some of the things she'd read yesterday were ridiculous. She may of course be talking about something completely different than Ryan's injury.

Well shit this is concerning... I love how the club has kept it on the downlow... I hope they have a replacement lined up for Mr. Stoke city in the meantime... Even if we have to loan out tex.

Also, I highly doubt the club would give Wilkinson a 6 month deal to get over his injury but refuse to help it's club captain and modern day icon.
