He's signed for a German second division club. I forget which one though.

Couple of questions:
With the new signings do we have a top u21 side or were we just catching up? I know it's all progress, just wondering if you locals had any thoughts.
Any way to watch the u21 games? I rely on NBC and streams, wondering if options are available.

We should have a much better one than we've had but most games are now on a Saturday so it'll be interesting to see how that works regarding who's taken to the first team games as part of the first team squad etc. I'm not sure what they're trying to achieve there because it could (it's not a given) limit someone like Ollie Shenton's development by limiting to travelling with the first team or playing U-21 football and not both (barring away U-21 games). Also since about mid July they've barely had time to gel as a side so that will be another factor. As will loans. On paper though the side looks pretty damn good but football isn't won on paper.... It depends on the club we're playing really, if there is one it will be on here!

Hopefully the change in schedule doesn't hurt too much(hopefully everyone is fit and no call ups are needed!). Only other team's follow is a low league US side. While amazing skill and play are devoid, it's great watching a game knowing anything can happen. There are always at least one or two guys out there that steps beyond, and when they get the ball it shows.

It could go either way with the Saturday thing I think, one thing it does mean is we'll get less update from Paul on Twitter. I watch Louisville City, they're losing at the minute. Jimmy O'Connor has got them playing well though, currently second I think after being formed this year!

Intrigued to know the story around Harper? Not fit enough to sign for us but Brighton will take him? Seems odd! Apologies for the delay in responding. I fell asleep and have only just got the time to log on again. I've been away on holiday for a couple of weeks so I know of nothing new re the Academy at this stage. Re Harper, it was indeed odd. The club thought they had got a real coup and a deal for him to sign was pretty much done before he even came over here (as it was with Molina). However, when he arrived to be collected from the airport, he did so on crutches with an injury that he'd very recently done (perhaps only 24 hours before travelling) and the club were totally unaware of it. He arrived on the Thursday and was sent for a scan the following morning. There were apparently no real worries and everyone (club, boy and his family) thought all would be plain sailing. The scan proved otherwise and he returned home without a contract and confirmation of a fairly serious injury. I was amazed when I saw that he'd signed for Brighton and stories of his injury were reported as a 6 week absence. That wasn't the impression I was given at all and I know that the club thought very highly of him and felt that they'd got a real "coup". To think so highly of him and then let him go to Brighton on the back of a 6 week injury...As you say, all very odd! It will be interesting to see how that one pans out. It's certainly one that I will try to keep an eye on myself.

Looking at the info I can find online/twatter Molina looks to be a bigger coup - captain of the team, more appearances and certainly a lot more Madrid fans are bothered about him leaving.

Just hope for the lad's sake we got it wrong obviously Sam Coulson has had a rough time of it.

Kos Sadiki is in there. And the only two new names are Jacob Twyford and Scott Wara. I'm off to google them now!

The sceptic in me says the paperwork hasn't been done.... All would need international clearance, all have been playing in pre-season, all of them are not there! I think Verlinden got injured in pre-season mind, so it could just be that!

Ended 0-0.
Looking at that side, it really is lacking in wide men, something the U-21's will struggle with this season too if we don't sign any up.

Anyone out there that can confirm the location of the game? I've seen Walsall on a website but heard tamworth mentioned at the weekend.

That looks a decent starting 11. Hopefully they'll live up to their promise. Add in Molina when he settles, and N'Goy to come back, and we at last have a group of kiddies some of whom could develop into Premier League players for us.
