The Smiling Assassin. Great to see that compilation of Diouf moments. A reminder that whatever happens in the window there's plenty of quality in the squad. Absolutely fantastic addition. Love his attitood and his variety of celebrations. What was the beautiful first goal 'celebration' vs. West Brom all about?: "Look Vic I've fallen"?.. and the acrobatic back flip thing was immense. Got me fillings jangling just watching it again. And I'm a fan of a bit of diffidence. And he tracks back. I always thought he was so eager to impress early doors that the nervousness meant he was prone to a fumble. He's eased in to the pace and lack of space in the Prem again and I've every confidence he'll be amongst the top scorers in the Prem this coming season. He can score the sublime and the ridiculous. Which is what you want in yer hitman. He's a superb nuisance too, he rags defences apart with his constant harrassing. He'll create plenty of space for Bojan to exploit. As well as feeding off him. If we could shut the fenetre now I'd be happy. Can't wait to see what our Mama produces this time around, off yer seat player {sometimes hands on head}. That's entertainment. More Billy Ocean than Grace Jones. And as close to the concept of a 'free' as you can get. Quality. exactly mate. this guy was bought in by scfc doing a proper deal. i really don't want us to become home to europe's wage warriors...

I cant wait to see this lad finally getting the service he needs. Nothing wrong with the service he had last season imo.

Important season for him. If he increases his goal tally then he's going to be up there with anyone in the league

His last goal of the season was arguably his best goal of the season. On that occasion his first touch was perfect, which allowed him to send a swerving rocket past Mignolet. Shows one aspect of his skill set, which we all fully expect/hope he repeats frequently this coming season.
First post by the way, if it looks funny, or is the wrong place, apologies..trying to figure it out.

I hope you have an understanding family Thank you. I've been reading if for a couple years. I finally decided to get a login. I don't know why anyone on this board is negative. Stoke is a great organization, well run, in the 'best league in the world', and a steady mid-table, top 10 team now, pushing for a spot in Europe. Now is precisely the time to try and bring in world class talent - Shaqiri, Kono, etc. Why anyone would see the glass as half empty, i just don't get it. The future is very bright, and something to enjoy and celebrate.

Without the next level players you can't achieve it, without regular European competition you can't attract the next level players. We just need to get a couple of next level players over the line to make it happen, easier said than done!

FFS he'll set the game back 20 years if he doesn't shut his gob on Fox Sports.

The ball is not being played up or released early enough for him many times he's had to check his runs against the hard to break down teams we have to learn how he plays its just the understanding between some of our players but injuries to the squad having helped him ie,,moses ,Arnie ,Bojan Ireland ,Adams as well as playing in Africa Cup thing travelling god knows now many miles then being stuck out on the wing sometimes He's done brilliant and can't wait for it to click with a settled starting 11:-)

Under-rated IMO is Diouf, and I reckon we'll see even more from him next season... not sure where that leaves us with Joselu, but I suppose its good to have strength in depth. A full season played in the middle with Bojan behind him could see us with a prolific partnership on our hands! As said previously he does have a knacknof being in the right place at the right time, and that's no accident; it's the sign of a good forward. Great signing, especially so on a bosman!

Tin hat on and here goes Diouf has the touch of the Gary Lineker about him. He is not the best "footballer" but has a knack of being in the right place at the right time and is a bit of a diamond. I predict he will score between 15-20 next season.

I was dead against signing him with those spitting reports from a few years back but he's put that all behind him and he has been great for us. I reckon 15-20 goals is possible this coming season.
