I don't understand why so many people were on his back, yes his touch isn't the greatest at times but he's fast, strong and just has that instinct of a true striker of being in the right place at the right time, plus he cost us nothing in transfer fees.
We're a better side when Diouf plays up top.

Not bad with his head is he?
That plus his ability to "be in the right place" makes him a brilliant option.
Sadly I think we'll be seeing him wide right for a lot of next season

It is massively important to sign atleast one more winger so that we never see Diouf on the wing again, totally different player when played through the middle

Bojan's goal at Tottenham was surely Diouf's as well so that makes 14!

Not knocking him he's had a decent first season, just think he has potential to be so much better than what we have seen so far.

i love the guy, we just dont play to his strengths enough.

His goal v Man City is my favourite Stoke goal of last season (even beating Adam's Chelsea goal), biggest mental I've ever had sat at home watching a shit stream on my laptop

Misses LOADS of sitters... Apparently. To be honest he did miss a fair few but if he had bagged every single one of them I'd fear we would struggle to keep him here as there would be a fair few teams vying for him now!

The Spurs goal was chalked off by the dodgy goal panel.
Edit : The one at home.

The Spurs goal was chalked off by the dodgy goal panel. as if we would have scored without diouf causing the panic in that particular scenario. mind you i suppose there's a lot more riding on things like these days, what with betting etc... does the goal panel have the final say over gambling payouts then?

The Tottenham goal should remain Bojan's all day long.

He has done a good job for us. Alright, he had a bit of a lull October-November time, and his first touch and composure, shall we say, could be better. But 12 goals from a free transfer, that is canny business by Sparky, and you cant argue with double figures, can you?

Most bookies will pay both, they'll pay out as diouf was declared goal scorer at the time and then they'll pay out if people bet against him scoring. Most in the second category will forget to collect though so it's not really a big loss for the book makers

March can, as goals are irrelevant all he offers us is dodgey touches and poor composure

The Tottenham goal should remain Bojan's all day long. It's a good job it was given to Bojan, Mama was a good yard offside when it clipped him.

It is clear from many of his goals (and misses) he has the knack to be is the tight place at the right time. He could become one of the Prem's top scorers next season if the team play to his strengths and he has a streak of good form/luck.

The Smiling Assassin. Great to see that compilation of Diouf moments. A reminder that whatever happens in the window there's plenty of quality in the squad. Absolutely fantastic addition. Love his attitood and his variety of celebrations. What was the beautiful first goal 'celebration' vs. West Brom all about?: "Look Vic I've fallen"?.. and the acrobatic back flip thing was immense. Got me fillings jangling just watching it again. And I'm a fan of a bit of diffidence. And he tracks back. I always thought he was so eager to impress early doors that the nervousness meant he was prone to a fumble. He's eased in to the pace and lack of space in the Prem again and I've every confidence he'll be amongst the top scorers in the Prem this coming season. He can score the sublime and the ridiculous. Which is what you want in yer hitman. He's a superb nuisance too, he rags defences apart with his constant harrassing. He'll create plenty of space for Bojan to exploit. As well as feeding off him. If we could shut the fenetre now I'd be happy. Can't wait to see what our Mama produces this time around, off yer seat player {sometimes hands on head}. That's entertainment. More Billy Ocean than Grace Jones. And as close to the concept of a 'free' as you can get. Quality.

Wasnt sure about him early days, Now Very nice to think we got a top class striker in our midst for a while
a very good haul considering where he played at times and the ACON distraction
a very decent haul - and the lad IS a top striker
And the closing argument in my tiny mind would be: who'll get the most goals next season ?
Charlie Austin or Miame Diouf ?
not easy to call I reckon
