Does anyone on here know of, or can recommend a reliable transport firm who would be willing to collect eight responsible folk (including kids) from Manchester this Friday, late evening.
We're going to watch T20 cricket match at Old Trafford but last train back to Stoke is at 10.30pm which would be cutting it fine as scheduled finish is 10.30pm.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. From National Rail enquiries it actually says 22.07pm is the last train to Stoke but you can get 22.36pm or 23.38pm back to Crewe where you could pick up a local taxi firm, i'd check but I'm pretty sure your train ticket from Stoke would allow you to come back to Crewe as its any reasonable route and there is no direct service to Stoke on Trent.

Same as an airport run, give Intercity a bell.

Hiya,
Are you sure about the scheduled finish time?
Most T20 Blast games on a Friday evening are scheduled to start at 5.30pm, they usually last about 3 hours and are therefore scheduled to finish by about 8:30pm.
Phone LCCC at Old Trafford and ask them.

Sky sports coverage goes off air at 9.30pm so it finishes earlier than that about 9 pm.

However you're getting back - you've chosen a good game to go to. Record score by Lancs and they've got Yorkshire by the short and curlies.
Bairstow is their last hope I reckon - but not a bad last hope. He looks in good nick. Maybe an Ashes call up will come his way at some point.

Turned out to be a decent game. Pity Yorkshire lost though On the transport front we ended up hiring a mini bus and driver from Keele Uni ( a service I didn't know existed until Thursday). Quality service. Pick up from 'Castle. Drop off and picked up again outside Old Trafford and then return to house all for £120 between 8 of us. Will definitely be using them again. Oh and Inspiral Carpets were playing live after the match, which was a bit bizarre. Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards
