Good point! I'd rather see Lecygne in there tbh though. Is Shenton a CM or a CAM? Attacking midfielder but can play deeper and I've seen him play really well on the left wing too.

Actually come to think of it, it's not actually THAT bad of a side. Who else is there to play? Shenton, Bachmann, Gyolai, Bardsley, Crouch So a lot of the starting line up would have to play 90 mins which isn't feasible I'll put money on Bards at RB with Cameron and Sidwell in midfield.

Just to clarify, for anyone who doesn't know, Terry Conroy was built like a twigglet and was like that all his career. Defenders spent his whole career trying to kick him to death because he was just magical on the ball. That's probably why he ended up having FOUR cartlidge operations. The pitches were a lot more 'forgiving' back then and I do think players have to build up their bodies to an extent in the modern game.
People like TC and George Best (My all time footballing great) are the reason that I 'sneer' somewhat at the game today in 'what passes' for football. You just don't see players carrying the ball and taking people on, the way so many did back then (they'd be called 'showboaters' today). Little wonder this day of pass, pass, pass, pass goalie, pass. pass, pass, goalie, pass pass.............struggles to please me.
It's football Jim, but not as we know it!

Well that pic of Conroy makes him look massive compared to Moha, I've had bigger shits. And this isn't me having a go, I think he looks a real talent just bringing the harsh reality of what he will need to do and what they'll have him doing.

In the game today I do think they have to 'beef up' somewhat. Just camera angles/TC's stance mate. He was always as skinny as a rake.

Conroy on the picture on the still of that video looks like a pretty well built chap. Moha doesn't and it wasn't a dig because quite frankly it's bloody obvious. And like the Barca lads that have come before him they will add muscle bulk to him. www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/stoke-in-singapore-day-one-2538320.aspxAnd what that photo does highlight is how short Bachmann is. Looks like Bluto in the crowd

Strange how the club have actually released a statement on this one.
Are we expecting him to feature in the first team?
Is he our new winger extraordinaire?

Didn't he sign weeks ago? I thought they'd said that too. Also he's obviously travelled with the team out to Singapore, so seems strange that he's apparently just signed.

Perhaps after Hughes has seen him in training he thinks he might be closer to the matchday squad than he'd originally envisaged? Or, he's short on options out in Singapore so it increased Moha's chances of playing and they thought it best to put some kind of statement out? (Of course, it could be a mixture of the two )

Probably just wanting to put it out to the football world that we've done business with Barcelona again. They are becoming our best mates. Hope he gets a run out today. I'd love to see him smash straight into the team. Some wonderkid rampaging down the wing. Goooaaarn youth.

If you are good enough you are old enough
It would be good to have a young person starting regularly in the first team for the first time in a while

It sounds like he's going to feature at some point over there.
Which is how it should be. Preseason friendlies are for fitness and trying out new shit.
Good luck him, lets hope he can start his Stoke career off with a bang.

I can picture it now: Hughes - " Right lads lets try some new shit out today......we're gonna go 2-1-2-5....so Diouf, you go centre back with Ollie, Geoff your holding today,Crouchy left wing, Wils you go right, and the rests of you, Hmmmm just run around up front a bit" Or perhaps Nello has flown over to give some advice !!!

But according to bayern he is so thin that he will break into little pieces at the first tackle and needs to put on at least another 5 stone of solid muscle before he can set foot on the pitch. We're doomed I if we don't listen to bayernoatcake, the voice of reason and the thinking man's Benjaminbiscuit.

Seriously, although we announced the signing some weeks ago, could it be that International clearance was not granted until this week and so we announced the signing because we now plan to play him today?

He's definitely got something (you certainly can't teach that balance and searing pace), but suppose it's too early to know exactly what. He may be a star, or never play a first team game! He's totally unproven at anything approaching senior football.

It's the old school playground scenario .....
Shakiri won't 'go out' with us ...So we've gone out and got a new 'girlfriend' to spite him ,It's now only a matter of time until Shakiri sends over 'his people' with the words 'my mate fancies you'
Yes we may have missed out on our rock to City signings so far, but there's a big part of me that takes solace in the fact the lad had other options and chose to come to Stoke,I'd like to think our two ex Barca players were asked their opinions on the lads ability to adapt to life at Stoke.

On that note, I wonder whether this is a coded message to Sergi or other targets from Scholes: “Moha has seen the progress made by Bojan and Marc and wants to try and do likewise.”

Non potters didn't know about this transfer. Common perception was that we were signing oldies (GJ and Given). Announcing this now to the general public dispels that perception.
Maybe why we waited.
