Nah Just good A shame this sport has been tainted forever agree, shame its been tainted, maybe they should have two races, one for the sports men and one for the drugie cheats, the sports journalist who got Armstrong is on Froome case and asking lots of questions that they wont answer he also has Wiggins in his sights aswell

I assume he's talking about David Walsh but I'm not aware he's questioning Froome or Wiggins. It appears to me that Sky have been very open throughout. Sent from my GT-I8190N using proboards

David Walsh and Paul Kimmage interviews. An interesting view from outside the UK. The interview is part way down the page. David Walsh

Get in Froomey!!!! Deserved to win especially after the bollocks he's had to put up with over the last 3 weeks.
3 British Winners in 4 years is phenomenal.

It's been a fantastic Tour this year with the big 4 plus Tejay Van Garderen really attacking each other wherever possible. IMO Froome is a well deserved winner and has just about had enough in the bank from week one to beat Quintana. I can see Quintana winning it next year and think Sky have got a problem as Richie Porte is leaving them and he will be very hard to replace as Froome's main man in the mountains. Geraint Thomas has improved tremendously this year and could hopefully step up to fill Porte's place. Maybe recruit from Europecar (even though most of their riders are French) if the team folds due to lack of a sponsor ?

Tejay was a disappointment for me, he had a great first week, then he seemed to do nothing more than hang on to Froome. I was not surprised to see him break in the mountains. Froome deserves the win, and showed real grit with all the things that were literally thrown at him. Having said that, Quintana was the star of the race, he never accepted second place, and did everything he could to win it.

I think there's going to be a big turnover of personnel at Sky if the rumours are to be believed with Kwiatkowski coming in from Etixx, Landa from Astana and a 3 from Movistar. If they retain Pouls and Konig plus Nieve then they will have plenty to replace Porte. He will be a big loss as he's been part of the 3 tour wins.

I was surprised that Tejay was such a close competitor early on but he did just seem to hang on and was relying on all the other main contenders wearing themselves out, which was never going to happen.
I am not surprised that Porte is leaving as he has said he wants to race for himself rather than be a leading support rider for a team leader, but I can't really see him as a major GC contender as he isn't really fast enough in a time trial, and doesn't seem to have the daily consistency on the flat and in the mountains, but he will be a big loss. I hadn't heard the rumour about Kwiatkowski, but he and Landa would be good additions and they would have a really strong team. The one area where I do think that Sky are lacking is in having a top class sprinter as I don't think Viviani is at that level just yet, but I suppose that would mean they would be working hard at the front on most days which would possibly ultimately derail their attempt for the yellow jersey.
I didn't manage to get to the Tour when it was in Yorkshire but am intending to go over to watch for a few days next year, just hope the racing is as good as it's been this year.

I remember when they started they wanted to be drug free from the top down. It may take them years to recruit properly with no skeletons in closets

Whilst the sport does appear to be cleaner there are still question marks surround certain teams and individuals. You'd hope that with recent developments that the newer wave of cyclists won't be as tempted to cheat because its no longer widespread.

A bit of a shame for the lad but he's a bit of Wiggins type of rider anyway in that a TT heavy parcours would suit him better. It's a bigger disappointment for Quintana really because this tour was definitely made for his talents. Now hopefully Cav can out do Gripel and Sagan today to make it a British day.

I think it's a pity Quintana waited until the alps to attack Froome. By then Chris's lead was so big it would have taken a major collapse for Vincenzo to have a real chance.
Porte leaving sky won't matter Imo. Geraint is probably a better no.2 anyway and Nicholas Roche is a great signing. as for sprinters, I think as long as they have decent gc contenders then they probably won't care and if I was a top top sprinter I wouldn't sign for Sky when the teams major ambition will relegate you to a side act who is only allowed to play if plan A falls apart.

Deserved to win especially after the bollocks he's had to put up with over the last 3 weeks. 3 British Winners in 4 years is phenomenal. is suspicious I'm not sure that it is, as we're only talking about two riders, and if it were not for team orders, we would only be talking about one rider, as Froome could have beaten Wiggins. As David Walsh has said, (and this can be expanded to include athletics), the drug takers in cycling were brought down by anecdotes and eye witnesses, those two things are missing with regard to Team Sky.
