I reckon any Chelsea player coming to Stoke will be on loan. I think we thought we'd get Moses, but he seems to have other ideas. I like Mo Salah but he is destined for Italy. Other than that, McEachran has not "trained on", and you are down to the kids likes Bamford, Loftus-Cheek, Christensen, Wallace and Lucas Piazón (work permit issues, no doubt, for the last two). I noticed there was a guy called Pasalic who looks a prospect, Jezza 20, 6' 1" midfielder who's already played for Croatia, played a full season in La Liga for Elche and tenuously linked with Inter, Lazio and Monaco this summer while being dubbed "the new Lampard" and "the new Modric". I hadn't heard of him 'til yesterday, so beyond that no idea about whether he's what we're looking for?

We all knew it was coming. We said goodbye at the Liverpool game. Not arsed that he's going to Chelsea at all. His decision. His career. If he sits on the bench well thats his lookout. The only thing I care about is how much money we are going to get. 8 million isn't too bad for a player that is in his final year with no intentions of re signing.
My sincere thanks Asmir, you've been brilliant but now I only care about how our Jack Butland does in between our sticks. He will be fine, I'm sure.

Or maybe Oriol Romeu? Former Barca lad. Would have been there at the same time as Bojan and Muniesa. I really like the look of Kalas too. I've only seen him play centre back but he's supposed to be equally as good at right back (some reckon better)

I was thinking both Remy and Romeu will be sold, with plenty of clubs already linked.
Kalas could be a good call for right back after a decent loan spell at Boro last season. Not heard about Pasalic before, but a quick google suggests he could be a decent prospect.

No problems for me if Asmir has gone. I think we probably saw the best of him.He never let us down, helped a hell of a lot to keep us in the Prem, and he has my best wishes for his future, which may or may not be a regular first choice goalie doing his job with his new club . In return, we have recuperated what TP paid out for him. plus, and have Jack Butland to take his place.I see Jack being just as good, maybe even better, than Asmir giving his chance, and have no worries over our goalie situation.Players move on, from Stoke and much bigger clubs, but the clubs don't die.I've seen too many star men leave Stoke and move on, but we still survive.

If you'd have moved to somewhere to be Number 1 then you'd leave with my best wishes, but you've gone for Abramovich's dollar, so you can go fuck yourself.

His career is hardly over is it? He will continue to play international football and he will get paid a fortune. Things may break his way and he gets a chance at Chelsea or he may ,after a period , get a move or loan to another top side. All in all a gamble worth taking as he has probably done all he could with us. I'm just grateful for the role he played in getting us where we are and hope he goes on to ever better things - football needs all the intelligent, articulate stars it can find.

It's a good move all round tbh. He's moving to a big club where he will things and play pretty regularly. He'll get a massive wage hike (fair play to him). We've seemingly got a decent price for a bloke with a year left on his contract, well done Scholes on that (it should be more though ).

Don't think anyone can argue with £9m in the circumstances.
It's peanuts to them and it's a reasonable return for us given the contract situation.

Best of luck Asmir. Good servant to the club but a move is the best thing for all parties involved.
Time for Jack to step up.

Likely to take all the cups matches and games leading up to CL. I hoped he'd find a starting job, but he made his decision to leave.
Onwards and upwards for Stoke and Butland!

Glenn showed contempt for the fans a few years ago, Kenwyne often did it in his own way too. It's a shame, but it happens.

Thanks for the profit Bego and close the door on your way out.
A good player but a bit of a moaning baby all things considered.
Thats bollocks if he really thinks that Mourinho will pencil him in for cup games. Mourinho is far too crafty to agree to anyone being guaranteed first-team football. Maybe a League Cup game or two each season, which isnt bad for 4 million squid

Really? The fact that this move probably sets him up for life hasn't crossed your mind. As much as people go on about him being greedy the blokes got less than 10 years left of his career and has a young family, yes he earns good money now but he's probably doubling his wage with a healthy signing in fee.

Was a potential legend a while back but couldn't give a fuck after the way he's acted the last few months.

That's right pal. If he'd of signed a new contract at Stoke he'd be living on the street or applying for a room at the Sally Army. Wouldn't he? So it is all about the money then.
