Would take signing Moses and a new deal for Zonz and be happy if that was all the business we did this summer if everyone's fit for pre season

The Times also says we are confident of persuading him to sign a new deal.

It says we want to sign him which we knew, it doesn't say he wants to sign for us. Hopefully he does snd we can sort it.

If Nzonzi is going to sign he will want assurances that better players are coming with the prospect of the team moving in the right direction Europe/ cups etc. let's face it Nzonzi could play champions league.

If he stays with us - and I really hope that he does - then he has every chance of playing in every game for us again throughout the season. - more chance of selection for his country?
This may not be the case at a club with Champions League football
I agree he will be taking a good look at how the club are looking to add better quality players and was working really well with Bojan until his untimely injury

Because of his performances over the past season he will be attracting unwanted attention from far bigger clubs than us . Let's hope his father doesn't start marketing him as a player with only a year left . We may be in the same situation as we are with Begovic and be forced to sell him this window

We're going to lose him this year or next I fear but if we can get him to sign up and he goes next summer he'll go for big money.
It's worth throwing big wages at him to make sure we get a good transfer fee.

An increase for one means the rest will come knocking.best to keep the spirit and wages relatively similar. I would maybe exceed the max a bit.considering Ryan and some others will ask the same.

Whatever makes economic sense, if he goes next summer without signing a new contract he goes for free. If he goes next summer after signing a 4 year deal this summer he goes for probably 10-12 million. A 30-40k a week increase from whatever he is on now (1.5-2m for the year) is a sensible financial decision.

It's a delicate balancing act. We can't go too much above our current max unless we're willing to seriously increase our wage budget. Saying that, Maybe we are. I guess wages are the way forward more than transfer fees.
