I must have missed the two new strikers that Chelsea have signed to allow this to happen?? He was already loaned out last season so they won't miss him or need to replace him!

Remy is a good player but I really think Diouf deserves the chance to be our number one striker. It would be very harsh on Diouf if we were to sign Remy. As said above Remy can play wide as well as in the centre. When he was on loan at Newcastle he spent pretty much all of his time on the left of a front three.

From that video looks like he scored goals from left wing in one game. I've always seen him as a striker and if we sign him that's where we should use him.

I've always seen him as a striker and if we sign him that's where we should use him. The wide player in a front three is usually there as much as a striker as a winger. If you look at the post (by Mr Pickles) below your previous post there is a link to interesting article on his time at Newcastle and the author concludes that his best position is on the left of a main striker!

Remy would be perfect for the right hand side but I can't see it happening sadly! Yeah I think Remy is just as good on the right as he is on the left. I'd be shitting myself if I was a defender in the tunnel waiting to come out, knowing I was going to face a front three of Moses, Diouf and Remy - that would be scarily good. If a deal can be done, then we should be pulling out all the stops to make it happen, I'd much prefer Remy over Kono.

If he does ever rock up at Clayton Woods again, we better ensure that the full-on Walking Dead contingent aren't there to meet & greet this time.
To be fair to the lad (with the huge caveat that I still think he's a right bounder for stringing us along just for a free ride in a private jet) I think I'd be having second thoughts if I found that lot on my red carpet.
Euw.

Euw. I've always wondered what actually was the truth behind him 'stringing us along'? Is it not possible that Scholes was sent over there with a private jet and told to do whatever it takes to get him here? On realising that his reception wasn't as warm as he was hoping, couldn't have Scholes said to Remy and his agent, "look at the very least, why don't you come over and have a look around and we'll have you back home before the day is out - what have you got to lose?" Scholes was hoping that by getting him over here we could increase the charm offensive and Remy himself thought heck - indeed what have I got to lose? Not saying this is what happened but I did wonder at the time if it might be a plausible theory?
