Anyone else staying at the Best Western Park hotel consul for the trip?
Think a lot of those who have bought tickets in 016 area will be queuing up for are changed tickets before kick off for the first game. I emailed the organisers of the cup yesterday and they said they maybe able to send out printable ones. Is anyone else having this problem? I presume lots since we have sold our allocation.

Anyone flying into Duesseldorf and then getting train to cologne? If so, how much are people paying for the train? 2 of us paid £55 between us for open returns I think we eventually brought. Getting the 9:27am train to cologne saturday morning. Where are you flying from? What website did you buy your train tickets off? We're staying in Junkersdorf so need to get another train once we get to cologne station. How long do your open returns last for?

We're flying from Birmingham at 8:10pm Friday night. Can't remember exactly what website but we went through train line Europe mate. Having looked at them I'm not 100% they are open return haha! Just definitely know we're getting the 9:27am train from dusseldrof main station to cologne main station, think they're called "hbf" on the train websites rather than main station.

I was planning to go for the Saturday but my driver got sick and I don't fancy going solo.
I have two tickets Saturday only in the Stoke section O16 that might be available. I've emailed them to see if I can get a refund but if that's not an option they're available to anyone here who wants to message me.
I don't know if they're transferable. They're printable tickets with a barcode so I assume anyone can use them.
I hope everyone going has a brilliant time.

I emailed the colonia cup info admin, and asked about it. Basically they have moved us (since there is so many stokies) to a different part of the ground. I presume the away stand?! Anyways, hence our old tickets for block 016 wouldn't be valid. I have asked for them to send me the new tickets to print off. Failing that, I believe we have to visit their box office with our old printed tickets to get new ones. Bit of a bugger really......

Got an email back from the organisers to say, if you had tickets in 016 area then you don't have to change your tickets at the box office for the new N15 area we've been placed in. You keep your same seats in the new area which is better. Was thinking we'd all have to wait for ages to collect new tickets...... PHEW!

You can buy tickets here: www.bahn.de/p_en/view/index.shtmlYou need to go from Dusseldorf Flughafen (Airport) At the airport, catch the Monorail to the Fernbahnhoff - its free and takes about 5mins. There is an information stand there. If not use one of the ticket machines (they are also in English). The trains take about 40 mins to either Cologne Hbf (Köln Mainstation) or Köln Messe and cost about €20.

I will look into this later but just thought I would ask as no doubt someone on here already knows the answer. We are on the 07:55 Ryanair flight out of Stansted on Friday morning and flying to Koln/Bonn airport. I am guessing that you can get a train direct from the airport into the city? We are staying at the Courtyard by Marriot as well. Should be a good weekend

Hey Stoddy,
You will be able to get the local S-Bahn from the airport into town, and looking it takes about 20 mins, and it should then just be a short walk to you hotel, depending on where your staying.
Let me know and I can take a quick look for you as I need to check for our hotel anyway
Bamber.

Ok guys & girls here you go:
...by local train
Every 20 minutes the local train ("S-Bahn" line S 13) links the airport Cologne with the city's main train station stopping one time in Cologne-Deutz near the city's trade fair area "koelnmesse". The trains to the centre of Cologne start in the new airport railway station in the basement level of terminal 2. Many signs will show passengers the way to trains. The ride takes about 15 minutes to Cologne main station beside the cathedral. The fare is 2 euros each adult and 1,30 Euros each child.
Simple and Cheap, if your a bit further out you will need to then switch to a u-bahn or walk, or of course take a taxi, it should cost around 25 to 30 euros.
The Green S signs are S-Bahn, and blue U signs are U-Bahn stops.
I have linked a map of the area:

High demands sees Stoke fans relocated STOKE CITY have received an increased allocation of tickets together for this weekend's Colonia Cup tournament in Germany. Overwhelming demand from the UK has seen organisers relocate City supporters from the original block O16 to block N16, with additional tickets to be made available in the adjacent block N15. Both individual and two-day tickets will be available to purchase from Box Office 10-12, near N16 at the North-East corner of the stadium, from 12 noon onwards on both Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August. No tickets will now be available online. Stoke supporters who have already purchased in O16 will still be able to use their original tickets and should enter at the North-East entrance of the stadium and NOT via the East entrance. Those who may have purchased tickets elsewhere in the stadium will also be able to exchange them at Box Office 10-12. English speaking employees will be on hand to help. The Potters face hosts 1. FC Koln and FC Porto as part of the inaugural four-team tournament at the RheinEnergieSTADION, with two games for Mark Hughes' squad in the space of two days. Read more at www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/colonia-cup-tickets-update-2578186.aspx#A645vrWijjcJaf9Q.99fantastic effort should be a great atmosphere.

Any other tickets for anywhere other than the O16 can be exchanged at the ticket office so you can all sit together if you want, if you have the O16 USE them to get in the new stand N16 but keep your seat number.
FROM SCFC website:
"Those who may have purchased tickets elsewhere in the stadium will also be able to exchange them at Box Office 10-12. English speaking employees will be on hand to help"
