And as you proclaim it's a message board so people are in their right to state that these idiots are being, well...
Also don't forget some of these posters said "they hopes he proves them wrong", so they will be glad, shouldn't they?

If someone didn't think he'd score 10 goals then why shouldn't they say that? It's not a crime is it? And it is a messageboard to discuss such things. Having a bet about it and then not paying up is the way bigger issue! "HE WON'T SCORE 10 GOALS" Not. 'In my humble opinion I don't think he will score 10 goals' Spot the difference, only you can pass things off as fact in this board. So what? Some people aren't as eloquent or are sure of their views, again it's not a crime.

Or they just don't think he's still a very good footballer? Which is fair enough imo. I think Charlie Adam is pretty awful, I know he's been playing well and scoring goals but he's still not my cup of tea and never will be but I can see what good does, I just think others are better and prefer the way others play football. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Some players for whatever reason just aren't what some people want, it happens. According to you half of our team are wank. Either the PL is rammed with very poor players and teams or you're talking shite. I'm going for the latter.

I think the starting XI bar 2 players should be challenging for top 6 with a good wind. You've told me that's bollocks too though so I just can't win, I think they're wank and I overestimate them. Or I think we've got some players that aren't good enough to be regular starters and we can do better (we can). And I think that with a good wind we can emulate what Southampton have done (why can't we?).

Quietly became on of Hughes best signings. Bored to death with people wanting another striker like Charlie Austin. A front of Diouf, arnie, bojan, and another (Odemwingie if he's fit) would be great.
And with crouch and Walters on the bench we still have options. Another for the future is the only striker signing I can see. Or a big money signing way above the talents of Diouf.

That's all well and good oracle but it sort of cheapens your argument when they state that "he's not good enough" - when he has proved he clearly is. Or my favourite "he won't score 10 goals" - hmmm... If someone didn't think he'd score 10 goals then why shouldn't they say that? It's not a crime is it? And it is a messageboard to discuss such things. Having a bet about it and then not paying up is the way bigger issue! Oh come off it. People couldn't wait to abuse Mame both at matches and especially on this message board after games. The fact that there was a Diouf bashing thread after 2 games where he was being completely written off shows you something. Completely different from judging a player over the course of a couple of seasons and coming to a sound reasonable conclusion that you don't think he's any good. It happens all the time when players are signed and have a bad run of form. Posters get a buzz out of slagging them off as quickly as they can so that they have something to passionately shout about and when proven wrong they can fall back to the safety of saying 'ooh well done Mame! Proved me wrong pal! Eating humble pie now!'. It's pathetic how many posters are guilty of that and you can guarantee that if we buy someone this transfer window who gets off to a shaky start, the exact same will happen.

That's football fans for you! And quite frankly who gives a fuck what's written on here? This is the place to write people off, to say they're than what they are etc. It's like the pub but online. If people want to write a player off, they can, that's the joy of discussing football with different people and the different way they do it. And does that really bother you? It's what football fans up and down the country do, they have done since the sport began probably and they will do until it stops.

Well in my opinion, there's absolutely no 'joy' in seeing various players being abused by their own support because they feel like they have to come to an unfounded conclusion early on in order to have a shout about it and milk the acclaim if they're 'right'. There's no discussion or debate about it, it's just pure idiocy. What's more concerning is the fact that this is online, and not the pub, meaning that someone like Mame Diouf has every chance to see that large portions of the fan base are abusing his efforts after 2 games, making comments about how he'll never be a good footballer. How's that for confidence?

I have a feeling Mame might take the Premier league by storm next season. I'm having a sneaky bet on him to hit twenty plus when the betting opens. Brave! But I have a similar feeling depending if Arnie starts in form and who we have on the right. And the condition of Bojan You've got a thing for that ugly looking dwarf...

Even if we had signed him at £8 million (the figure we were quoted to have offered for him the previous year), a dozen goals would be a decent return on that outlay. To get him for free was a masterstroke. OK, his first touch could be better, and he DOES miss some sitters, but he puts a shift in, his pace scares defenders, and he is often in the right place at the right time. Great business Sparky!

Considering he played most on the wing and didn't take penalties and could've scored more from set pieces, makes his goals record all the more impressive for me, great player

My thoughts are that he is paid to score goals and he has done that brilliantly so what is not to like, he will get 15+ next year.
