Stoke have offered the young defender the opportunity to become a part time coach whilst completing his coaching badges, a promising career path which allows him to stay close to the pitch. Dave Wright hopes to see Sam working with the Club, saying "His knowledge of the game, his manner and the way in which the information was transmitted to the young players was very impressive. Sam showed enough potential that we felt he could develop into a very good coach."
The Club have offered Sam the wonderful opportunity of being part of a team of coaches and scouts that will visit America this summer. He will be given the chance to travel across the USA, coaching young players and working with coaches to share his knowledge of the game.
As I mentioned earlier the club does some good work it doesn't publicise

A good mate of mine was forced to quit as a youth player at about 19 due to a serious knee injury, however was quickly offered a chance to be part of the Stoke in the community training programmes for youngsters which he has done ever since.
