It sounds like he would like to stay and if he acknowledges the competition and is fine with it why shouldn't we sign him up

Good interview that. Wonder if the club will give him a new deal?
Interesting where he sees his best position and where the manager differs..

At 29 he got roughly 3 years of playing at this level if he keeps his fitness on the right level. He deserves to be playing regularly, I do hope we can find a way of giving him regular chances, but if not I hope he finds a decent club that enables him to continue in the prem. Great Player up there with Bojan for me.

I like Charlie. There's no doubt he has his limitations namely his fitness. But he offers us something different and if he played 38 games a season he'd be regularly in double figures for goals. If he's happy being a squad player he's definately worth his place.

He seems a bit like Cameron and Walters, where whatever you think of them as footballers, they seem to be really good people to have around the club and in the dressing room.

Always regarded him as a player who maybe wasnt as fit as he could be, although i must say the article has changed my mind, he has a great professional outlook and hopefully he can stay here a bit longer

Sounds like managerial material.

I really like him too and at times this season (very controversially) I would have dropped N'Zonzi for him as it often seemed that Charlie's forward thinking and drive was missing from the team.
He's not indispensable but we shouldn't be looking to offload him either.

He comes across really well to be fair to him.
