Some good tv related threads just now made me think about theme tunes.
Obviously loads of great ones but this, for me, stands head and shoulders above all others: the outro to the Sweeney. Beautifully melancholic - reflects the way things never quite worked out at the end of each episode.
Edit: fixed that video link so you all can enjoy the real thing!
