Maybe because things have only just gone his way and it's the first thing he bought when it did?

Very interesting post stretton and I imagine a fairly unique one, first season ticket in 9 years sort of says you were buying one in our last couple of years in the Championship but not in the first season in the PL.
As the season ticket numbers went up significantly in 2008/9 because of the huge excitement of a return to the top flight, you decided against renewing, suggests it must have been mainly a cost decision surely?

my first season ticket was 1973/74 and my last season ticket was the Boskamp season, circumstances have prevented me from buying one since, like children, redundancy etc, i get to 2 maybe 3 games a season now, best football i've seen since the late 70s early 80s and i am missing it all i did however manage to get to the Leicester game for promotion and the F.A. Cup semi final and final (big thanks to Northwichstokie) so i haven't missed everything but weekends are a long and often frustrating affair

I ended up getting one of the single seat allocated ticket mate so the price didnt change for that fortunetly. and yes was my first oppurtunity to get one and very glad i have now!!

I've played there once apart from the first hole the rest of the course is owned by the national trust so very picturesque. I believe it's the highest golf course above sea level? But could be wrong with that. Not a long course but need to be extremely accurate.

Haha yes defo not a glory hunter can remember my first second ticket in the old division 2 cost 23quid lol have got all the programmes from that season somewhere they were only 1.50 then. Getting to the pre and fa cup final meant all those years in school I was mocked for supporting a crap team (there words) was worth it haha

Surely true and loyal Stoke City fans should only be interested in the success of our team and not whether they are entertained. Didn't the late and great Brian Clough say something along the lines of " If your want entertainment go to a circus " I live too far away to go and watch our games so when I sit in front of the coal fire to watch our games on starstreams.tv then I'm only interested in the result.I really couldn't care less if we entertain , play well or even play what is supposed to be the ' right way '. For me the most enjoyable games are those in which we scrape a late winner after doggedly defending for most of the game. One of the most boring games I've watched in our Premiership years was the 5-0 FA cup semi final victory.

More likely Church Stretton. Theres a golf course there that looks top notch/very picturesque. On my list to play this year!! I was a member there mate and it's great and really beautiful on the right day. I would definitely recommend it. Couple of warnings : Don't go if you get out of breath easily or it could kill you If there is a breath of wind wherever you are there will be a hurricane up there. It's a mad golf course but I had some great times there.

Try doing a few 400 mile round trips and spending a fortune in the process to watch a game that's as boring as fuck and then tell me the entertainment doesn't matter.

If that's all that matters to you to you that's fine. No greater feeling than watching gifted players play with a ball. Results for the club are very important but for my own selfish reasons eg spending a fortune I want to be entertained!!!
