Should be a good game this one.
I fancy a 2-1 win with Odemwingie in the starting line up.

Spurs played well today however they look a better side at home. Defensively we certainly need to be on our game or well get punished. For me we need to make changes. Though a bit of a risk I'd drop Whelan. Bit of a gamble but I think they can be got at.
For me
.............................Jack..........................
GCam..........Ryan..........Muni..........Eric
................NZonzi............Adam..............
..Odom................Ireland...............Arni..
.............................Diouf.........................
I'd give Odom an hour if he's fit enough and bring on Jon as an impact sub.

Impact sub for Ireland.

We need to get on Danny Rose's case and wind him up again

I'd have Sidwell in for Adam, Odem's not fit enough to start so Walters wide right. The rest I'm fine with.

I thought we looked great attacking V Sunderland with Adam in DM and think it can work. We just got let down by the defence.

Am I missing something here? People want a player who's scored in our last two home games (and who really looks like the only player who knows where the back of the net is just lately) out of the team?
And Sidwell put in his place?

And Sidwell put in his place? Adam's a weird one. Scores goals but does fuck all else good on the pitch of late. I'm starting to wonder if he's missed his calling as a poacher. But yes, Ireland links up far better with Diouf and gets him scoring goals. It also means we play with pace that we lacked at the weekend. Also it'd be Sidwell for Whelan in my eyes.

On the fence with Adam as well but as someone says above is our best goal threat. Worried re our back 4 v Spurs and would bring Begovic back for this.

I don't fancy us at all in this one.

The only positive is that Spurs' season is petering out as much as ours is. Reckon it'll probably be a draw.

I'd go; Butland
Bardsley Shawcross Muni Pieters
Whelan Fonz
Wingie Ireland Arnie
Diouf Adam to come off the bench.

I'd honestly take that right now. Me too. I wouldn't. We are well capable of winning at least one. Have some faith.

I think we should realistically be looking for 4-5 points.

And Sidwell put in his place? People want to use Adam to his best effect and that isn't against quick players. Use him as an impact sub against Spurs. First requirement is a clean sheet. If we are secure at the back we can push forward hopefully with pace.

Spurs and their fans seem to get to him too and make him kickier than normal.

I personally thought subs were brought on to make an impact and replace a player who maybe wasn't on his game and improve the team on the day unless injured or for time wasting purposes.

I agree use Adam as impact keep bego out sell sell sell and use the money for a top striker in the summer. Let's go all out at home attack stack but a strong back 4 Beardsley shawcross cameron and peters. I am lookingforward to this one thing I will lose my voice,,,,

Bego Cameron Ryan Muniesa Pieters Nzonzi Adam Ireland Odem Arnie Diouf
Cmon!!! we might as well try and go for it, People slate Adam for defensive work but surely Nzonzi should and can contribute in that aspect. Whelan is not single handedly responsible for our defence. If the back 4 are switched on, there is no reason we cant play Adam and Ireland.

Whelan is the glue in front of the defence, if we want more solidity and this is a game where we need it then he has to play.

Spurs and their fans seem to get to him too and make him kickier than normal. That's true, they absolutely despise Adam, like even more than most fans of other clubs. All the more reason to play him IMO.

And Sidwell put in his place? Adam not starting is no mark against his play. He can impact a game off the bench and has done so well. I want to see Adam in every game for the rest of the season, but not for every minute, and definitely not early in a match against a speedy team like Tottenham. Let Ireland build up with Arnie all game and then sub in Adam for a thunderbastard to win.
