Why does all the focus seem to be on a left winger - it's the right side that's the problem?
With Arnie and (potentially) Moses, that's more than good enough for our left hand side.
If we can afford Bollasie, then we can afford Remy.

Bloody hell, you're staking a lot there if Everton and Newcastle really are the only competition. Why would Bolasie himself want to go? It depends who wants him doesn't it really? I would be surprised if anyone above Spurs or Liverpool wanted him? It's all guesswork, even the papers are guessing really, but all the sounds coming put of Stoke indicate we are willing to spend big, but I've not seen that from Palace. Would it be a massive shock if we were able to pay more than Palace. Everyone has their own opinions, but I'd be more surprised if he ended up at a Chelsea or Man United than if he ended up here, Newcastle or Everton.

I'd say Liverpool and Spurs would be the summit of his ambition.
And there are only so many top wingers they can buy and then make a focal point on 60k-a-week?
Then maybe Everton or Newcastle if they've got money?
Aside from them, we could maybe compete withanyone domestically if we've got money burning a hole in Coatesy's pocket.
I'd be surprised if we could afford a mega fee and then go in with a mega contract though.
And his fantastic end to the season probably put afew mill on his fee.
He's probably on good money on his new Palace deal, with the bonus of living in London, so it would take a strange turn of affairs to see him turn up here

Hard to say, you wouldn't have thought so but as FullerMagic has said, the journo is very close to Palace. A few months ago you wouldn't have thought that we'd have any sort of a chance with Konoplyanka as he seemed Liverpool bound but we do seem to be waving quite a bit of wedge around at the moment. However my point was more to do with the apparent persistent search for a left winger, when in my opinion, it's the right hand side that is the issue.

Yeah we're getting linked but that's nothing new. We're named for weeks before one of big boys jumps in and 2 days later we've lost out. Once we get someone in the door vs a team of more of equal standing then I'll start believing we have some pulling power.

But our persistence with the left suggests LMH is happy with the option of Odem or SJW on the right. Or am I missing something?

Perhaps LMH is pleased with SJW! I don't see a different conclusion, unless LMH wants Bojan, Adam, Arnie or Huthy on the right flank.

Perhaps we are a more attractive proposition these days than I give us credit for, but I'd be very surprised if a player of Remy's calibre would want to drop down out of the champions league scene. As far as Bolasie is concerned,I don't think he's any better than our current options on the left, especially if Moses signs,so I'd probably agree with your original point.

Bolasie is an outside chance Imo, providing none of the big boys go for him.

We stand less chance with him than Crewe do of signing nzonzi this summer
We are just driving prices up by Showing our hand everywhere and our failure or deliver any of them
How long before Hughes starts to get a bit fed up of all the talk and no walk

Bolasie is the kind of player who if signed could lift us a place or two in the league.
Likewise his importance to Palace shouldn't be underestimated and they'll do their best to make sure he doesn't join a direct rival.

From what I've seen he looks top quality on his day but he seems a bit hot and cold for me March. For the money he would cost I'd prefer us to get Moses because he is just as good in my opinion, and we have Arnie as well, who on his day is better than both. I'm still not convinced that Bolasie would leave Palace for us anyway.

Just wonder with all this publicity about left wingers, when many of us think right wing is a greater priority, are we working on a right winger under the radar or even better got one wrapped up already. We have had one or two surprise signings out of the blue.
May just be wishful thinking on my part.

Bolasie was applauded by Anfield when subbed in the 3-1 Palace away win. Quite some accolade that and deserved too.

People might disagree, But he's the reason Palace have finished in the top half. He's their "main man" and I would be gob smacked if they let him move anywhere this summer.

We've had NO official offers reported in the press or anywhere else so saying we're driving prices up is just crazy. A good example of what you mean is Man City going public with a bid for Sterling. That drives prices up and I can't see any evidence of us doing that at all so far.
