Nope he was bollocks and subbed at half time for being an absolute crock of shit...... Except for making Erik look a twat and setting up the first goal. You really cannot say that anyone in that defence was 'excellent' yesterday. It was keystone cops throughout.

I thought Erik was and I thought Ryan played well. The other 3 and the 2 central midfielders (defensively) not so much on various levels from Bego/Wolly catastrophe to Adam/Fonz being their usual occasionally switching off selves.

I'm a massive fan, he would be one of the first names on my team sheet and he's been an excellent purchase but couldn't have him yesterday at all.

They posed no threat bar the ones we caused ourselves and they came from 2 players.
Cameron was just his usual shite self on top of that.

Pieters has been a superb signing and was the only defender to come out with any credit yesterday.
I would say after all the partnerships that we've seen on either side since Hughes has been here, the Pieters/Arnie combination is the best we've had.

You really cannot say that anyone in that defence was 'excellent' yesterday. It was keystone cops throughout. Erik actually got a tackle in for the cross and on another day the ball would have deflected and gone out. I'm sorry but you are way off the mark. One man was culpable and it wasn't Erik. I thought he was excellent yesterday.

Love Pieters. Not at all what I expected when we signed him. A full Dutch International with a penchant for punching panes of glass made me think he would have lots of ability but be a petulant so and so at times. I certainly was not expecting the fully committed, job in hand, professional we have. I salute you Erik

Love Erik I do... If we had a RB up to the standard of Pieters we'd be a much more balanced team.

Very solid left back. If only he could be more consistent with his crosses.

Solid and reliable, the least of our worries at the moment. However if we ever want to break into the top 7 and stay there we will need better.

There was a period a few weeks ago when I felt that Bardsley was doing okay and that we did actually have a balance between left and right back. I still feel that Bardsley is a good player, despite being at fault for one or two goals. It's a bit of a conundrum with our RB options as it stands: Cameron is a better ball player with better control, but Bardsley is a more 'natural' defender who can tackle and intercept. We could do with a synthesis of both their respective qualities.

He's just escaped a speeding fine on the A500 61 in a 50 limit (why the hell is it only 50?) due to the fact he didn't get the letter in 14 days. Well done postie!

He's just escaped a speeding fine on the A500 61 in a 50 limit (why the hell is it only 50?) Because it makes so much more money for them being a 50 limit despite the road being designed and built to National speed limit specifications.

Top man is Erik occasionally makes mistakes but a bit of an unsung hero . Doesn't often get a mention on here good or bad which suggests he is a very consistent performer. I hope he gets a bit more recognition from whoever picks the Dutch national and gets a call up. The dutch are struggling to qualify so could do with his 100% commitment.

Very solid left back. If only he could be more consistent with his crosses. But his inconsistency helped last season when he put that cross into the top corner against Newcastle I think it was!

If you watch it again he was left with 2 on 1 at the throw in because Arnie was asleep

His crossing (and the team's in general) is pretty awful to be truthful. Other than that I'm OK with Erik. We have some great crossers, as proved at the weekend, we just didn;t have anybody attacking them. People like Erik, Geoff, Charlie need in the summer to come in for a few days a week and pump balls into the box to improve. It is quite embarrassing at times watching them sling balls into the keepers hands time and time again or not even beating the first man

True that, and i've said that in the past but in truth it was such a shit cross, Krul had no idea where it was going
