Been saying they might for about 3 weeks now to a deafening silence on here.
After today they will be 3 points behind us with better goal difference and bang in form, throw in a relatively benign run in and I think we could have trouble on our hands.
Aston Villa Away Sunderland Home West Ham Away Tottenham Home
I hope not. It must be 3 or 4 decades since we finished above either of the Merseyside giants.

Could very well happen and some morons on here care more about Man Utd losing than us finishing as high as possible it seems , oh well.

With the incompetent fraud that is Roberto Martinez in charge?
Can't see it myself.

It's looking ominous. While I am enjoying seeing them beat the shit out of the shit, they are looking to overtake us. We will need a result against Swansea, whilst our failure to put Sunderland to bed in the first half yesterday could come back to haunt us. No doubt, some on here will be saying that we are being pessimistic and that being tenth instead of ninth is a great achievement, but I reckon that that is not how LMH sees it. For me, if we fail to win our little mini-league (which Everton have just joined), it will leave a slightly sour taste at the end of the season.

Some of us so called morons do not like Manu. Sorry if that upsets you, but I for one won't be changing my mind! We have thrown too many points away this season, and really should be comfortably ahead of Everton in reality. If we pull our fingers out, we can still finish above them anyway! Plus the horrendous injury list hasn't helped us. I've never known a season like it for years.

I love to see Lpool and United lose, but today I really hoped they would pick up 3 points! So did they? No of course they lost 3-0 which makes me despise them even more!

As long as we better last season's points tally I couldn't give a fuck what position we eventually finish in.

Possibly on current form but we have had exceptional circumstances this season with a dreadful injury list.
Had Bojan and Odemwingie been fit all season we would be up with Southampton and in an FA Cup final I'm convinced.

I'd like to see us take a scalp or two along the way and Everton are among the great and good of English football with very good reason so to finish above them would be a great achievement I think.

For an incompetent fraud Martinez certainly outwitted LVG tactically today.

I fear we will be caught by at least one team after yesterday. Whilst we are 'nice' going forward, our defending yesterday was at times somewhere between hilarious and suicidal. From a goalie suffering with the 'dropsies' to, a central defensive partnership heading for an unholy divorce and, a preference for some of our midifelders to continually keep supplying each other with hospital passes or, a total unwillingness to shoot
- we have simply got to get our shit togehter much better next week - or else
Harsh I know but, in spite of all the positives - there were some pretty enormous cracks appearing in our team as well
and those boots - jesus wept !!!!

On current form it looks like they will steam past us and Swansea. We need Odemwingie to start finding the net and give us the strong finish we had last season again if we are going to keep 9th place.

I'd like to see us take a scalp or two along the way and Everton are among the great and good of English football with very good reason so to finish above them would be a great achievement I think. I believe that beating last year's points tally would be superb progress, especially considering the horrendous injury list we have had to deal with. If we achieve this I'm not really arsed whether or not we finish above Everton,we will finish where we deserve to finish and if it's 8th,9th or 10th doesn't really matter to me. The only way this end of season can piss me off now is if we don't better last season's tally.

I fully understand where you're coming from but is the money really that substantial to a stable club like ours? It won't effect us in any way, shape or form if we finish between 8th or 10th. Bettering last season's points total and obviously trying to win all four of our remaining games should be our only target, then whatever position that puts us in is orate with me.

Finishing 8th instead of say 12th I think we'd be a more attractive option for potential signings, I know it's not the be all n end all but i think it's important to keep improving our league position.

Everton have a easy looking run in and will get at least another 9pts.We could finish above Swansea as they still have to play Arsenal & Man City but we need to get a result there on sat.Interesting & all to play for as it is important as finishing 10th would be disappointing.

Looking a bit ominous isn't it! But one good result against the shit doesn't mean they're going to finish with a flourish. They're still a poor team this season and if we can get 2 wins and maybe a draw then I think that may be enough. Swansea away win would be a great start!

Yes I think they will overtake both is and Swansea. They hit form and have important players back from injury. The Swansea game will go a long way to determine who finishes 9th
