He did what no other Stoke outfielder did today... moved of the ball... dove into channels and seriously tried to best his marker to get closer to their back four. In his little stint he did more than Walters in 75 mins. Noticeable difference. Bang on mate

The frustrating thing is we are forced to play Walters until Odemwingie can last 60 mins.

Hopefully he's still set to start the U-21's game on Monday.
Walters has been awful for months now and seems to be getting away with it.

I'd rather Wingie, Wilson or Cameron on the RW now to finish the season Walter's just isn't as effective there as he used to be anymore. I'd make him a CF only option now.

Could Cameron be an alternativ on the wing in front of Bardsley?

Cameron the man who can't cross to save his life and is a dreadful footballer and wants to play centrally?
Yeah why not....

Easily, instead of Wingie? No. Perhaps instead of Walters this season. It's not like we'd miss Walters after the last two matches with 2 crosses. I'd think we'd see more.

Didn't Cameron make a cross to one of Crouches goals earlier this season?

Walters doesn't offer much offensively when on the wing...

One cross from the 2340 he's attempted, marvellous stuff.
None of our full backs can cross.

How about Muniesa on the left with Arnie on the right? (and I know Arnie is a lot better on the left)

How about we play wingers on the wing, centre backs at centre back and strikers up front?
Just a thought.

SJW can't beat a man out wide, so he ends up drifting in, meaning all of the wing play comes from the right back. Then we end up open down that wing when we don't (can't) win the header in the box/when the ball gets passed back and hoofed by begovic, and they counter.

Last season, when we were struggling, he got banned for 3 games, we bought Wingie in for him and won 3 on the trot. We'd have a helluvalot more points this season if Wingie had been fit and playing instead of Walters imo.

Wingie has performed fantastically for us but given his age and the fact that he's coming back from a season long injury it would be imprudent to pin our hopes for next season on him

Can't wait to see him back to full fitness! Still you can see he is more comfortable with the ball at his feet than most of our players!

Wingie has performed fantastically for us but given his age and the fact that he's coming back from a season long injury it would be imprudent to pin our hopes for next season on him I wouldn't expect him to be our "main man" in either the centre or on the wing next season. I expect us to buy at least a specialist wide right player and hopefully a central striker as well during the summer. But Wingie is by far the best option we have at the club as a back up to the wide player and also brings something to the role of support striker. We'd be foolish not to give him a new contract if he proves his fitness. Obviously he'll lose his pace one day but I bet he's still amongst the top three fastest players at the club and, if he hasn't got another season in him at this level I'll be very surprised, given his comparatively rapid and good recovery from his injury. The bloke gives every impression of loving his football, loving this club and loving its fans and it would be crazy not to keep him for another year if he can pass a medical at the end of June. Put it this way, I'd rather he was turning out for us than against us next season. PS - and I do wish one of the local media would ask him if he has plans to go into coaching. If he does, I think he should be doing his badges with us and not with another club. He has an English wife and his children were born in England - I suspect he has no plans to leave England soon and if he got a job on our coaching staff I'd be delighted.
