Understandably didn't want to get involved in any challenges or take anyone on but played some good balls and would have done his confidence a world of good.

How was he? my stream was wank post-70th min so I gave up watching and just refreshed twitter for 20 mins! Looked like a kid dipping there foot into water, had a few good passes, got a couple dribbles past his man and was aware. Needs more game time but still looks his oldself but holding back abit.

He looked a little bit scared of a tackle but thats understandable at this point coming back as qucik as he has. Great boost for his chance of a contract and his confidence. I know he won't but if he trains well, i'd be tempted to start him against Swansea just to give Walters a kick up the arse

I thought he looked pretty sharp for a bloke that's been out for 7 months, very encouraging!

Frightening to think what reception Bojan's going to receive based on PO's return today.

Frightening to think what reception Bojan's going to receive based on PO's return today. It'll be the loudest Olé, Olé, Olé in history...... ........ which he will LOVE! And welcome back, Wingie - you have been greatly missed, and we are all so chuffed to have you back in action.

It was a great reception for him & I'm looking forward to the reception our favorite little Spaniard is going to get.
I thought he had a few good touches but definitely looked tentative. The more game time he gets before the end of the season, the mor confident he will get.
Anyone else think he looked fitter?

Interesting to see SJW season is open again!! If there is one player who will never and has never needed a 'kick up the arse' it's him.

Thought he looked good.
Before he came, I didn't have any idea what a good, all-round player he was. He makes so many good decisions about what to do and when to do it.

Frightening to think what reception Bojan's going to receive based on PO's return today. It's just a shame it will probably be during a pre season friendly so won't have the same clout. Has a pre season friendly ever sold out??

Few touches, looked a bit rusty but it's like a preseason for him compared to the rest of the league who have a full seasons football under their belt, with a bit of luck he'll be up & running for next season

Cruel but he has to go probably on loan for three months with a 1 year stoke contract t and I thinks that why he is being rushed clearly not quite ready
Brilliant bloke and great player but we Cant afford 2 cruciates in our 25 for the first half of next season it's takes at least that for them to get back to anywhere near unless the club are prepared or have to wait until jam for one of them

Great to see he's fit again but to think he's the answer for us on the right next season is sheer lunacy. He will be 34 and returning from the best part of a year without football.

Players often recover from cruciate injuries far quicker than that these days. There are no guarantees, of course, but both players look like they will recover much more quickly and Wingie looks like he'll be worth a place in the squad from the start of next season - beyond that it should be down to his form as to whether he is in the 25 from 1 September. There is no reason why Wingie needs to go out on loan and, if he did, what sense would a 3 month loan make? He's either in the 25 man squad from the close of the window or he's not. We can't leave him out of the 25 man squad and then put him in it after 3 months - we'd have to wait until January to add him. Assuming he doesn't have a relapse before August I think he'll get another year on his contract and be in our squad next season. All indications so far are that Bojan, like Wingie will make a good recovery and in far less time than your pessimistic predictions. Again, no guarantees, but the omens are good.

He was bang in form, and I just feel he's lost a little bit. Still, he deserves a lot of credit for still playing.

Thought he was our best outfield player. Kept the ball well and made some intelligent passes into the box.

He did what no other Stoke outfielder did today... moved of the ball... dove into channels and seriously tried to best his marker to get closer to their back four. In his little stint he did more than Walters in 75 mins. Noticeable difference.
