Breath of fresh air with an abundance of bad language.
Modern day punk epitomised.
To be fair though, they are no spring chickens themselves.

A breath of fresh air indeed. Even if there's a wiff of bacon with it. I've been listening to them way too much since discovering them a few months back.
Pity they're never likely to do a tour of New Zealand.

I must be getting old. I used to love anything new and a bit different, but nothing seems new anymore.

He sounds really aggressive whilst performing, but he comes over well rounded in interview. JW has been making tunes as Sleaford Mods since 2007 so I reckon he's in his 40's. Not sure if his old stuff is about as they took it all off their bandcamp page for copyright reasons, all the old stuff was barely disguised looped samples. Check out "R'n'B Paul" and "Dead Cities", the latter is as good as anything he's done.

saw them support The Specials last year in Manchester. Didnt seem to work in a large auditorium. Can imagine they'd be good at smaller venues like The 'Mill. Having said that some of his lyrics are genius

Obviously, a diet of Smirnoff Ice has rejuvenating property's. I wonder if it would also help me drop a stone&half!?!

Brilliant at the Sugarmill back in Feb. I had tickets but couldn't make it. My mate went instead and said it was superb.

It was a good night yeah. Nice to see a (big) crowd including teenagers, old punks I remember from gigs and Chicos etc, and all points in between.

Still can't make me mind up about the Sleaford Mods. Certainly uneasy listening. Like being shouted at in a bus queue while loud traffic goes by. I have a low threshold for their fatalistic monotony. The loops never quite grip me. Quite like it in small doses. 'Tied up in Nottz'. Some quality couplets but he's a bit pre occupied with his trumper. I don't think I could get through a full album in one sitting. Havn't witnessed them live yet, that might be a different matter. I'd like to see a Shane Meadows short film about them.
