A golf course only with much bigger holes. Instead of getting a golf ball in the holes with clubs kicking a football in the holes with your feet. What do you reckon? Is it a goer?

Sounds like a good idea. There's a place for crossover games I remember a subbutteo/snooker game a while back whicjh looked fun.

There's a course in Birmingham, it's great fun, except when the normal golfers start teeing off too soon!

There's one at Telford golf course £7 for 18 holes it's not far and if the weathers nice carna fault it. Went 2 weeks ago and it's fair to say I had a rayte laugh.

I was invited to a round but unfortunately it was the day of the West Ham game and I wasn't about to miss an away day. All my mates said how much fun it was...they all also mentioned the fact that it's a lot harder to kick a football any real distance in the wind which gave them a new found respect for how far goalies can kick. Moral of story if possible try go on a not so windy day

Like football and golf as separate entities, I'd be absolutely fucking gash.

Charlie Adam would be ace at it - the driving part at least. May have to do some work on his putting though!

Played it in Thailand a few times just north of Chaweng - the guy who ran it claimed he originally came up with the idea. Its quite hard at first as you just end up twatting it too hard but gets much easier as you go on. Nice in the sunshine but wouldn't want to play in typical british weather.

It's good fun. I'm crap, but it's no less enjoyable. Some people take it really seriously.

When did this become a thing then? It's completely bypassed me. It has been going for a few years, but is gathering support as golf clubs struggle to attract members for the traditional game due to the recession. They can make money by placing a footgolf green next to an existing green but using the same fairways, etc. Many a time when playing traditional golf I wished I could kick the ball than hit it with a silly stick.

Are they regulation match balls or the floaty, garage forecourt type.
The harder you kick the latter the further behind you it goes into a headwind... :-)

I played once and it was great fun.
Carry a few beers and enjoy.
You dont even need holes. We used corner flags.

Nzonzi would need a hole the size of the grand canyon to get the ball in.
