I'm working class and support conservatives. If I was on Job seekers, I would still support conservatives. On Job seekers I wouldn't expect benefits to cover new TV's, holidays etc. I don't understand why working class shouldn't vote conservative? What is wrong with work hard play hard? Totally agree mate. The Tories are the only chance we have of turning the country around. More jobs, Cutting the deficit, Improving the standards of education and making steps to get young people on the property ladder. The alternative, Labour and SNP, just doesn't bear thinking about. Sturgeon and her SNP cronies will have Red Ed by the short and curlies, spending will go up, working people will be ignored in favour of scroungers and immigrants and we will get caught up in more red tape and beauracracy within institutions such as the NHS and Education.

I like the SNP anti austerity stance. If they get a confidence and supply arrangement with labour, I can see them dragging them left, away from the centre ground they are occupying with the city boys.
No bad thing.

An interesting irony pointed out on Daily Politics that if Cameron had not chickened out of the TV debates Sturgeon would not have the media profile she's got right now because she wouldn't have been in the TV debate at all.

An interesting irony pointed out on Daily Politics that if Cameron had not chickened out of the TV debates Sturgeon would not have the media profile she's got right now because she wouldn't have been in the TV debate at all. Cameron wants Sturgeon to have lots of attention so he can play up the Labour under SNP angle which he thinks will get him votes (and, of course, seats) in England. The vehement anti Tory stuff coming out of the SNP isn't of course aimed at Westminster (the SNP worked closely with the Tories when they had a minority administration previously in Scotland). It's all about securing labour votes up here. Just simple political pissing games.
