Also it is soon the 30th Anniversary of the Bradford fire that hardly ever gets a mention, equally as sad for every football fan.

One extra dimension of Hillsborough though is the police corruption and cover up which demonstrates how football supporters were systematically victimised during this period. But it is all tragic and it could have been any of us. Without knowing most of us have probably been close to a potential tragedy. Especially those of us over 35

And what a great testimony it is to the families for keeping this injustice firmly in the public consciousness for 26 years. What a great testimony for dogged determination and love of their deceased relatives in the face of institutionalised cover up, smear, lies and slander. Finally getting justice. RIP to the 96 and best wishes and one final breath of courage for the final stretch for the families.

There is no greater compliment to the people of Merseyside than. that.

My birthday = tax day in the States, the day Abraham Lincoln died, the day the Titanic sank, the Boston Marathon bombing, the Hillsborough disaster.

Anyone else at oakmore weeks before ?? F.a. Cup game?. Really could have been us.Have been in a few scary positions through 80's 90's following Stoke. Never worried about any situation apart from this .Total loss of control by the police, they thought they were doing the right thing but we're so naive it was embarrassing. Keeping thousands of Stoke fans away from the ground untill just before kick off..Really can't bring myself to agree with the bin dippers because I remember what they were like back then , storming gates to get in free was a regular ploy week after week you them, but it was not stopped or sorted out. Who should have stopped it at it's infancy ?
Just my point of view

RIP the 96. Still no justice for the families. South Yorkshire Police should be locking their own lying wankers up instead of covering up. If Duckenfield is ever found to be guilty of causing the tragedy he should never see the free world again
