Anyone know how much they are? Got a mate of mine who is a mature student and thinking about having one if he can afford it. Been on the official website but couldn't see any data...

We don't have a student category in our pricing system. We have various age categories and a disabled category. That's it.
If your mate is between 21 and 65 and is not disabled he will need to pay the full adult rate.

I've always found it strange we don't have a student price given the amount of students that live in the area. Particularly when we were a Championship club it made no sense.

I've always found it strange we don't have a student price given the amount of students that live in the area. Particularly when we were a Championship club it made no sense. They could do one of two things: a) have a student concession price on season tickets and/or (useful for students who live out of the area but go to college in North Staffs) b) sell individual game tickets at pro rata early bird ST prices (i.e. 1/19 of the early bird ST price) to students who register for the season with an NUS card. Worth asking the Supporters' council to take it up with the club? Option a) too late for the coming season probably - but, maybe option b)could be a "goer"?

Thanks Fornie. I think that's madness myself, but on the whole the club do a fantastic job keeping prices as low as possible, i guess this is one of the things that has to give way.

You can pick up a decent NUS card forgery for about a fiver so I imagine with nearly everyone going to so called "Uny" these days plus a shit load of mature students poor old Scholesy would probably find himself hauled into the Chairman's office one morning to explain why over 50% of our season ticket sales are concessions of one kind or another

From 2014:
"Manchester United fans have slammed the club for selling discounted tickets to students in a bid to boost Old Trafford attendances. The club sometimes offers a few hundred tickets to Manchester University Students' Union for fixtures that have not sold out. The discounted tickets - priced £24 - would normally be sold at £37 to season ticket holders. They are currently being offered to any Manchester University student who can show their ID for the up-coming game against Cardiff. The university has 40,000 students. As the Reds have struggled this season under new manager David Moyes, some games at Theatre of Dreams have not been sell-outs and the club has moved to fill the stadium."
Given the amount of people that go to study at Staffs Uni., and the needs of Stoke-on-Trent to do a better job of hanging on to more graduates, it wouldn't do any harm for Stoke to offer some tickets at a discounted level for students. Plus, some students from the local area that opt to study at higher education level do so with very little in the way of spare cash month to month and for the club to recognise this would be a great gesture.

Not having a student category for Stoke fans has bugged me over the past 2 years, I had a season ticket all my life until I moved away for uni 2 years ago, and since then I have made it to the odd game at Christmas and the start/end to the season. I think there should be a cheaper option for buying a single ticket other than u17 or adult, they have u21 for season ticket but why not for when you buy a single ticket? Luckily I have moved back this year for a placement so I have got a season ticket again,

Three or fours years at University is at the point when people make decisions for life, including for those into footy, who they choose to actively support. I didn't have a pot to piss in (let alone a pocket, ho ho) twenty years ago but if I could have got NUS discounted tickets I would have gone to more games that I managed to do. Correction: Twenty five years ago. Frigging hell.
