Would be great hosts which suggests it won't happen.

Would be great hosts which suggests it won't happen. After 2002 FIFA said they never wanted joint hosts again. ANYWAY Australia could do it without NZ.

I think it depends on how much Blatter is willing to accept.

It would be grand though. Ive been been abroad but would love to go to Australia see a few matches and have a look what all this fuss about the bush is. Would also like to see that Ayers Rock.

Oz would do a fine job of hosting a World Cup in my opinion. Also the climate would be ideal.
So given that the weather is perfect and the natives not only love their sport but are knowledgeable about it, plus their infrastructure is in place and the grounds would probably need an update rather than vastly expensive white elephants being constructed, they've got fuck all chance.

They are one of the world's largest gold exporters so all they have to do is send a years production to FIFA and they can have the world cup

Do they eat cottage pie in Austrailia? It is of interest Yes Col. Cottage pie. Amongst other things. Most interesting. I will ask Trevor, Alan and Keith all my good friends to see if they fancy going down under. Then see if mother will give me permission. Only problem is i do not and will not frequent 4x or fosters. Wondering if in Austrailia they serve the real ale.

I have onle seen one pub sell Fosters on draught. I live in xxxx country 20 minutes walk from the factory. You should do a brewery tour with Trev. But the World Cup won't be here until 2030 at the earliest.

I will start to save Joe. We may hire a car maybe watch a few matches and drive around the country in a 2 week break. I will also need mothers permission to have driving lessons and pass my test.

I think Australia would do a stunning job, in fact I know they would, one of the world's great sporting nations.

Just a gentle reminder that NZ were the only unbeaten team at the WC in 2010.

I reckon there is more chance of it happening in Australia than having it back in England! Probably more chance of Australia winning it than England these days. I would give them a good chance of reaching the quarters on their own turf.

Just a gentle reminder that NZ were the only unbeaten team at the WC in 2010. They did and it was impressive BUT a national team doing well doesn't equate to being able to host a tournament.

That got me thinking, what is officially the shittest World Cup? Everybody (Blatter especially) always proclaims them to be the best WC ever. Do we have any informed agreement on which one was the worst?

Some great football but the backdrop of violent tortuous dictatorship cast a filthy shadow.

Not forgetting England's non participation, Scotland's participation and all those frizzy perms and string-head bands.

Would be great but the timing of matches for European consumption would not go down well with the media companies. Just imagining Ryan finally getting his first competitive game for England in NZ at the age of 38!
