Not sure what to make of him, I've booked a ticket for mid April to see it live. Curiosity. Gorilla in Manchester, near where the Hacienda used to be. I can't make me mind up about the vocals, but I'm a fan of the musical cacophany they create. Part Doobie Brothers, part Doors with a touch of Gospel and ELO thrown in for good measure. Different. Matthew E. White... here's an example.
Any thoughts?

This starts off all Digeridoo, goes Roxy Music and Beta Band, travels through the age of Aquarius and ends up all Fela Kuti. Nuts.

The Gorilla is a great venue. All them ain't gonna fit on the stage though.

Correct. Couldn't fit all the entourage on stage. Very good live as a rockier four piece though. Matthew E. White will be heard from turntables this summer.
