Bollocks Alderson, you got me there! Hope you're well mate Yes mate all good thanks. What do reckon the chances are of you showing your face at this years SW Stokies piss up on 4th July in Bath? I may just surprise you and come along. Where's the venue, or is it a number of different watering holes?

Population of the two urban areas is actually similar (North Staffs - 469,000, Cardiff 447,000) and the population there also has two teams to support judging by what I see whenever I go there (Cardiff City and Man Utd). Also as you allude North Staffs is a traditional football supporting area Cardiff less so. However that is by the by because how in this day and age with obscene amounts of money coming into the club can or should it be a straight choice between building a corner or signing the likes of Victor Moses? We could build the corner at fraction of the cost that we have thought nothing of previously spunking away on a player that we don't even play! If it's a straight choice of corners or the likes of Wilson Palacios, Palacios can fuck off! BM Palacios was an expensive mistake but pretty much the clubs one and only big fuck up. I'll take one fuck up in seven years especially as many (myself included) thought that Palacios was going to be the bollocks. I'm fully behind the club on the corners issue, when they feel the time is right they'll do it. In the meantime if they want to show caution then I'm happy with that as well. They've made a lot of excellent business decisions and deserve our trust. Empty seats is a horrible sight in football. Sunderland and Boro looks so gloomy on TV with nobody there Sidwell I agree with the rest of your post!

Joking apart is this not the big fear of those at our club opposed to filling in one or more corner? Cardiff averaged an identical 27k to us in the Prem, whacked on an expensive top tier extension to take the capacity up to 33k then it all went Pete Tong on the pitch and they are back in the Championship with <20k and stuck with a big fuck off white elephant. The difference is Gods we have always had better attendances than Cardiff. We have a greater "hardcore to day trippers ratio" fan base than they do and we shouldn't be scared of having a 30,000 capacity stadium just because we will probably get relegated one day! BM This is true. It is also true that if we expand we'll do it one corner at a time. Currently, the corner with planning permission would add just 1,800 to the capacity and take it to 30k approx. the other two corners, potentially, would hold up to 2,500 each if they were ever built giving a "completed" capacity of 35k - unless an upper tier were built on the Boothen End. Even though it isn't as exciting as adding 6,000 seats all at one go like Cardiff did, it is a more sensible way of doing it. If we do build that first new corner you'd expect that they won't build the second one until the first one has been full or almost full for a few years. It is a cautious plan but one which we can surely take the risk of starting this summer.
