The decisions usually benefit the team the FA prefer though, so any enquiry is unlikely.
I've watched quite a bit of Sunday league, and watched my old man referee many a game, and they are there on their own. They can't trust Baz and Jim on the line. They have no fourth official. Yet I can't recall one incident where the wrong player was sent off. And even Baz and Jim, the club linesmen, I can't recall one of them giving an offside to a player in his own half.
Yet these FIFA standard refs, with two fully qualified liners, a fourth official, sometimes even those pointless officials on the goal line, make mistake after mistake. Glaring mistakes though. We're not talking misjudging a dive, a ball going out for a throw or staying in. We're talking the difference between sending off the wrong player, once when the two players concerned were of a different skin colour!
I know officiating at the top level comes with pressure that Sunday morning referees would never know, but they seem to carry on as normal the next week earning a good sum. Whilst Sunday morning ref gets his flags studded in the mud, his car tyre slashed, and many other bad things for a poor performance (usually caused by some dick head not knowing you can't be offside from a throw in or goal kick). For 20 quid! And he's probably done a better job than the clown on tele the day before!

We have had two penalties this season, and we are a reasonably attacking side. Two. Ludicrous.

I thought Bolasie kung fu kicked Bego at the time.
I've seen a video now and he's lucky he didn't get a red card. High foot and studs, Jackie Chan would have been proud.

Has anyone got the complete results of Marriner when he's refereed Stoke games? Surely it cannot look good!

Disgraceful performance from the referee today.
They have always been shit, but this season they definitely have got worse. That's not biased either, because I'm pretty sure every fan and every neutral are saying the same.
In any other line of work, if you performed as consistently shite as Premier League referees do you would get fired.

I'd say it was an orange card. Looked more like a black belt.

It's not just ourselves who are on the wrong side of poor refereeing. The standard of refereeing in general is poor.Yet as Mark Hughes and Nigel Pearson have both stated that there is no point in talking to these individuals(referees) . This is another issue , the referees appear arrogant and this does not sit well when they are making such glaring errors.
