Long time favourite of mine.

I wouldn't mind him - but I'd prefer Trippier of Burnley. 24 chances created from right back in an underperforming side is good going.

Hughes and him fell out while at Man City so I think there is little chance of us signing him. Trippier from Burnley is the one we need. He is good defensively and creates chances going forward and takes a good deadball. The best right back in the Championship last season and has shown this year he is more than good enough for the Premiership.

I'd love to have him at Stoke. Would help us shore up the right side. Wants to come back to England, not going to get into a team higher than us, Swansea, Castle and Everton all have decent RBs, we don't. Only issue would be wages and if he actually did fall out with Hughes badly enough to stop a move

Wage demands will be huge. West Ham written all over him.

Yes. Good back up for Trippier

I'm not convinced bridges have been burnt between Hughes and Richards. If Burnley go down, they have a fighting chance not to mind, then Trippier might be cheap.

Yes please, can't see us spending the money needed to get Trippier.

Wouldn't touch him with yours. Exactly the type of big money flop we don't need.

I've always rated him. Worth a chance if he passes the medical.

Id have him but depends on his wage demand. I would imagine he would want around 70? Not worth that for Stoke but a club like West Ham will be all over it. Shame

I'd take him in an instant. Release Wilko, keep Bardsley for cover due to contracts. Imagine: Richards Shawcross Muniesa Pieters Defence; Ryan, Muniesa, Pieters and Bardsley. Add Richards, make perm Wolly. Release Wilko. Shop Bego. Groom Butland. Look internal for GK or buy cover. In midfield I'd keep Bojan, Nzonzi, Whelan, Sidwell, Odemwingie, Walters (move to CF foremost), Wilson (CB, LB cover too) Cameron (RB, CDM cover too) Ireland. I'd release Adam and Palacios. Bring in Moses. Make Shenton senior, offer new contract and possibly short term loan. Forwards; Keep Crouch, Diouf, and add Walters. Bring up Waring, short term loan or sporadic first team appearances. Look for pacey short finisher CF if available. All this barring contracts and wages and fees but it looks like whats in the cards.

Absolutely worth a go if there was even the slightest chance we could get him.
Sadly, I think there will be bigger clubs in for him.

Sadly, I think there will be bigger clubs in for him. not in England Only The Shit have a right back issue & he won't be going there. If Clyne leaves Southampton (for The Shit) could see that being a problem although Koeman I think is more likely to shop abroad.

I'd look to the loan the younger lads out (Shenton and Waring). I'd also look to add Austin if we can't get Benteke. Someone of that ilk. Other than that I'd agree with your post

Too injury prone for me. There's definately better value elsewhere. Trippier for one is a far better option and younger too.

Aren't his knees fucked and he can't train properly? Gouranga. Knees and ankles. Apparently caused by his excessive muscle growth in the gym.

Is Huth ours next season or is his contract up? Isn't Odemwingie a pacey CF option as well?

I think he'd like some Surely by now he's realised he isn't going to be the big star he thought he was going to be and will have to step down a level?
