That video admittedly does not show Messi in the best light but while I have not watched it all the way thorough it does look as though a lot of the footage is earlier in his career and not a true representation of the footballer we see today. He has clearly matured and perhaps has decided to play the game his way rather than how managers and coaches were telling him to play.
All I know is whenever I've watched him he's been different class.

Messi is a better dribbler, finisher, as good with both feet, gets more assists, scores as many as goals, more of a team player and he is ok in the air....he scored a lovely diving header the other day and has scored a header in a Champions League final but he can't head.
Both are fantastic but for me Messi embodies what football is about. He's a free spirit, he's God's gift to football.
Ronaldo embodies athleticism and hard work and the ability to use that to make a very good talent, one of the best.

Messi is the more complete player, better passer, better vision and better anticipation, plus he can create chances as well as he can finish them. Plus, he works his bollocks off for his team, not his image/personal gratifacation, unlike that diving tart.
