Fantastic news. Trust me Mr Coates, we all appreciate Steven Nzonzi. Player of the season for me.
However in similar vein to FM's thread yesterday, surely it will be only a matter of time until the top 7 begin to analyse why we have done so well this season (so far anyway).
If that dissection takes place, Nzonzi will come top of the list. I'm afraid he'll be moving on this summer, he'd suit a team like Spurs down to the ground.

You just wonder what's still to be seen with Nzonzi.
He's one of those you always feel could get even better.
He's a class act and hopefully he'll continue to improve under the radar with us.

Offer him a 5 year contract now.
We must keep our better players.
Keeping N'Zonzi would be as good as a £25M signing.
We should apply the same thinking to Ryan and Asmir.

Just needs to buy some shooting boots, and he would become the complete article.

I wouldn't be stunned if a top-6 team came in for him in the summer.
Fingers crossed they don't, but doubt he will be signing again here until it's been explored.

Sign the lad up. He's one of the best midfielders ever to pull on a stoke shirt. The lad is absolute class

There's never been any kind of story to link him to anywhere at all. No gossip, rumours nothing, even when he tried to force it himself.

He will sign a new contract as he doesn't offer enough going forward for a team above us to come in for him.

Have I dreamt it but aren't Man City supposedly keeping tabs on him? Pretty sure Wenger had an idea he could be the next Vieara and it turned Stevens head, i think thats when he started to have ideas above his station although i think he could a job in Arsenals midfield.

He or someone must read this board as since the criticism of his non tackling backed up by stats, he has recently started to put himself about, track back well, and slide in and win the ball back, whereas before you'd see him just jogging back and leaving whelan to do it. He's played much better lately so ill take the credit for that thanks, but my point is there was a moment in the second half the other night where he was clear through in their half and he stopped and turned back. The top clubs need more going forward before they'd consider buying him. He'll sign new contract.

Every board needs its clown and the fact that you're back tracking yet still trying to slag him off when the majority of the board have him down as player of the season means that you have that role. You're embarrassing yourself.

You're embarrassing yourself. what a dick head. When I have ever said he's shit? When have I said he's useless? I have simply stated above that a top six side will not come in for him as he's not good enough for them going forward. What is there to disagree with that? Lately he has been charging about instead of jogging, sliding in and winning the ball back instead of leaving it to whelan and generally playing better, which if you had a brain cell you'd know that this is what I asked of him going back to the Rochdale and blackburn games. I said tongue in cheek that it's down to me for highlighting all of those things back then but you're obviously too thick to note is was tongue in cheek. It certainly looks like the coaching staff, or whelan, has picked up on it because since then he's come out and done all those things and played very well, though the sentinel and nationals have still been giving him average marks. Even his biggest fans say he needs to improve going forward so what is it I've said that's brought your period on?

Fonzy is a cracking player and we should be looking to extend his contract as we should with several others, we have a solid squad and with a couple of new signings next year could be quite a force next season. I see only good things ahead next year on the basis of what is happening this year we are a very good side.
