Is Bego the only keeper to be booked twice for time wasting this season?
Can't remember seeing another keeper booked.
Very poor when you consider how much time the Hull keeper took on Saturday.

I'm not certain, but I'd bet there are loads that get booked for it.

I don't know but he was in real danger of being sent off on Wednesday. The referee had booked him after having warned him twice previously and Bego then took an absolute age to take the next goal kick while the referee stood staring at him. I said to my lad that he was seconds away from being sent off.

Surprised it is only twice, could have been booked for it every game if you ask me.

Makes me laugh when the ref stops the goal kick being taken to 'warn the keeper' - surely this is delaying the game more?
You often see it where the referee blows his whistle as the keeper takes the kick, to produce a yellow card. Thus resulting in the kick having to be retaken and the game delayed more. Why not just book the 'keeper next time the ball goes out, or before said keeper takes the next goal kick.
Just my opinion, like.

I thought Bego's booking was ridiculous on Wednesday given the ball had just been in row Z.
Factor in Hull's keeper and it's even more ludicrous.

To be fair mate,he didn't "stop the goal kick being taken" as I suspect Bego would have been stood there for another 20 seconds had the referee not gone and booked him. Also, if he's booking him, he'll add that time on at the end of the game (or should do). If he'd booked him when the ball next went out, wouldn't he still be delaying the restart of the game at that point?

I know what you mean Jammo but I'd commented several times on Wednesday night that Bego was really pushing his luck. He really was taking an absolute age to take goal kicks. The referee warned him TWICE before he actually booked him. Bugger me, he then took even longer to take the next one and I honestly thought he was a fraction away from a second booking and an early bath. I think he was very lucky mate.

McGregor got away with murder, the worst was the Burnley keeper though who eventually got booked in about the 80th minute I think. Worth it though as he wasted around 5 minutes in total I would say. At Spurs Begovic got booked on pretty much the first occasion he tried to timewaste......

It's completely pointless. No referee will send a goalkeeper off under these circumstances.

It was a joke, after the Hull game the match before. It. Frustrate's the hell out of me, that admittedly, a different ref picked on Bego, when the one who should have been done got away with it. Let's face it, the Hull goaly was blatantly time wasting. Nothing happened. Now there is a surprise!

He'd warned Bego twice before he booked him and, to be fair mate, Bego was "blatantly time wasting' too.

All keepers do it and Bego is as bad as any of them.
On weds he was warned when even though the ball had been returned to the six yard area, he strode off up the pitch to have a word with Glenn Whelan. Ten minutes later he does exactly the same and gets booked - no excuses.

They should play the last ten seconds of the Countdown music, over the tannoy, every time the keeper takes the ball in hand or places it on the six yard line to take a goal kick. That would be a pisser.

As soon as we take the lead in a game we start wasting time, particularly Begovic. We did it even moreso under Pulis

Burnley as a whole team were a disgrace when it came to timewasting.
