Potternation10/10
I commented to my mates that i always understand his substitutions and logic.95% of his team selections i can pretty much get.
Thinbking back as much as i liked TP i rarely could fathom his team selections and substitutions.
Thinks going very well under Mark Hughes.

Grabbed a goal and hit them on the counter whilst looking comfortable in the face of Everton's profligate possession and passing.
Brought on Mame who grabbed the goal, and Arnie who more or less set it up.
8th in the table and 10 games to get 9 more points!

How he is not being talked about as Manager of the Year is beyond me. He is an outstanding asset to this football club and i genuinely believe he has found his spiritual home.
Given £30 million to spend in the summer on the right acquisitions, I think we could replace Everton as one of the team looking to poop the party.

Win or lose he hasn't done much wrong this season.
What I like about it is he know when to make the substitutions. Not wait for a set time

9 In fairness he has hardly put a foot wrong all season in all aspects of his job. His management of the team through crippling injuries and ever changing defensive formulations has been absolutely astounding. Somebody will let me know I am sure how many CB variations we have had to use. His stock perhaps has never been higher although because its little old Stoke and he doesn't court the limelight our rise has been a little understated. But no doubt bigger clubs will be watching with interest. Hughes is a winner and will undoubtedly still have lofty ambitions......I really hope the board have the ambitions and money to match that of our very accomplished manager

9* I was surprised that Adam wasn't the first to be subbed. He started to struggle in the last minutes of the 1st half.

Stoke have been going through a massive injury crisis and still pick up points. Half their team or more were missing tonight and they played players out of position in defence and still kept a clean sheet. Bottom line is that Stoke are simply a better side and have bought real quality like Bojan and Arnautovic for peanuts and Everton spend a fortune on Lukaku. Shawcross was missing tonight and the likes of him and Begovic would walk into Everton's team. Just for the record they have played one of the least amount of long balls this season in the Prem and have had no red cards. Hughes doing something that Martinez simply can't, installing team spirit and setting a team out really well. He has totally transformed their style on a real small budget and improved their results. Martinez taken Everton the other way. Stoke fans shouldn't have booed Lennon, they should have laughed at him.
Very honest post by an Everton Fan! Hughes has been superb since day one! Cracking manager!

Mr Coates and his fellow directors must do everything in their power to ensure that Mark Hughes signs a long and lucrative contract.
Stoke City could not not hope for a better management team than the one they have at the moment.

10, for all of the previously mentioned reasons plus one. I really didn't think that anyone could get Victor to defend when needed, let alone leap like he did for his beautifully directed goal. As for defending so well, with present injuries and last night using our fifth or sixth choice CD, who merits much praise, it beggars belief that we could be in the present position. Er, just downgraded MH, to 9, as he is the cause of my spending too much time, today, gazing at the PL table when I had so much else to do.

10* - Got his team spot on, made the correct call to play Charlie in the central role. Defensively, we were excellent, even more so considering we were down to centre-half choices no.4 and 5 and we looked like scoring every time we broke forward, which is a great sign considering we were down to central role choice no.3. Got his subs spot on too, Arnie came on and terrorised their backline, whilst Dioufy utilised his pace to great effect against a side that were trying to push up to force an equaliser.
Great nights work, Sparky, lets keep it going. Best pound for pound prem manager at the moment, in my opinion.

Imagine TP without Ryan: imagine Tunchay in this squad: imagine waiting for Odie and Bojan to start pre-season: imagine playing teams home and away and going in with no fear: imagine a manager who uses flipcharts sending on a substitute (van Grall £200m spent): imagine a manager citing conspiracy theories about referee decisions and media coverage (the Special One billionaire - funded - oops Coatsie 365!: imagine all the people living for today (and next season) - if Carlsberg made managers it would be Mark Huges

10 best team he had available, excellent sustitutions, double against Everton and a clean sheet.
Overall we are 8th, best points at this stage despite all the injuries. Not sure what else he could do to gain the support of the remaining few stragglers, doesn't mean that we forget the groundwork done by TP, but he has certainly taken us higher.

10 for me. Second game in a row where his substitutions have been decisive and led to a goal. Set the team up right, having Moses and Walters drop deeper to counter Martinez/Everton's tactic of play down the flanks and pushed Charlie further up in the middle to keep both centre backs and Barry at home.

10* Just back him with the biggest goddam warchest since Linfords lunchbox. Absolutely this. Imagine what he could do with a bit more financial clout in the summer window.
