We got a free kick about 5 yards outside the box and 3/4 of our players lined up together in a clear offside line. Hull players asked ref and he confirmed. Just as free kick was being taken Elmohamady sprinted to near post putting all our players onside.
How did Hughes coaches predict this? Clearly pre-planned but it still needed Elmohamady to make the run to make it work. Or was it going to be a "not interfering with play" attempt at unsightingcGregor?

It was weird. It would have been interesting to see what Swarbrick would have done if El Mohammady, or whoever it was, hadn't dropped back in to play them all onside.

The useless twat would probably have given Hull a corner.

our players equally split and moved forward before Adam touched the ball, so could well have been onside anyway

They probably only wanted to confuse the keeper and make him have an eye on them and not only the taker of the free-kick! Kind of worked didn't it, but Adam missed the target by some inches! Nice try though!

If they hadn't made it onside in time and Adam had smashed it in, would they be interfering with play?
Not that it would have mattered with that ref who clearly didn't have a grasp of any of the rules
