Accourding to this article in the Daily Mail we're coming to the end of our deal with bet365, which is worth 'only' £3mil per year. Any news on whether they're going to renew it? Will they be giving us a new 'bumper deal'? Or are we going to be looking for outside investment?

Thought exactly the same. Do we encourage outside investment at the expense of Bet365 advertising.

It seems to me that, to most companies, Shirt sponsorship would be worth more (IN TERMS OF EXPOSURE) than stadium sponsorship. So, given bet365's stated intent to bring in as much outside cash as possible (and I fully understand that aim) it would not surprise me if bet365 switched their sponsorship to the stadium (for example: bet365 Britannia) if they could bring in more than £3 million per annum for the shirt sponsorship from an outside company.

Thought exactly the same. Do we encourage outside investment at the expense of Bet365 advertising. Obviously it's nice and easy to keep it, plus there's the added attraction of it being very easy to 'adjust' the amount of sponsorship the deal provides to get round FFP etc, as we see with Man City's ridiculous 'deal'. Though if some multinational looks at us and sees an improving play style, a good bet to stay in the Prem, and an outside chance at a European run and offers us a wodge of cash, we'd probably take it...it's not as if bet365 advertising isn't plastered all over everything else already anyway!

They should be paying £30m! Hmmm not sure where that figure is from. If they do give us £3 million a year that seems decent to me. Hull were offered £2.5 million a year but only if they changed their name to the Tigers! They signed up to a record (for them) £1 million a year deal.

West ham this month have done a £20 Million deal over 3.5 years or £5.7M per season. I suppose we could be bumped up to approx £4 Million a year? What do people think? Maybe £4.5?

As with the stadium we should be looking at new money not bet365. The Coates family pay for everything they need another option not including the family company.

I actually think Bet 365 get a lot of good exposure from their investment in Stoke. The two go hand in hand and definitely helps 365 as a global brand being so closely associated with the premier league as opposed to other on line bookmakers.

I thought we got around $5 mil American for shirt sponsorship? No? Not long ago £3m = $5m, but the pound has risen. You "do the math", we do the MATHS.

They do but lets take some of those eges out of the basket and take some fresh investment, IF Bet365 go the club goes we need to ease the burden on the Coates family.

BET365 will want their name emblazoned all over the world and what better way to advertise it than a premiership football club carrying it's logo
It's safe to assume it'll stay on the shirts

They talk about being self sufficient we cant do that if they fund everything ?
