I know a lot on here criticise him but you can't argue he worked hard today and got us the 3 points! He definitely deserves credit today!

Did he walk straight off the pitch at the end? Or did he go over and applaud the fans?
EDIT: I really love him. His control and decision making may not be the best, but his work-rate will create numerous chances for us.

regardless of whether or not he scores (and his poor first touch which if he sorted out would make him a cracking player IMO) he ALWAYS works his arse off and has done since he came. same as Arnie, many think that because they don't score hatfuls (in Diouf's case) or because he doesn't put in a world class cross after rabona-ing 3 players (in Arnie's case) that they therefore must be shit and offer nothing to the team. both work their socks off whenever they're on the pitch and are massively over criticised by those who don't realise that there is far more to any player's job in a team than just scoring goals or providing assists...nothing more than lazy, unfounded bullshit by most who think "ooh he's a forward and doesn't score all the time so therefore is shit as he obviously can't be doing anything on the pitch".
played out of position for a large portion of the first half and got on with it regardless, muscling his way around and closing people down. delivery was shit but he's not a winger but at least he did what the manager asked without sulking and gave his all. did well today

I'm still totally convinced that he will find that groove...but he was providing the most face-palm moments for me this afternoon. Well, until Tex came on... But a goals a goal, so well done Diouf lad

He was wank today, useless excuse for a footballer, etc. Some of you lot need to have a long hard look at yourselves and support the lads.

Would be great if he could get a few more goals at the Brit.

Didn't celebrate his goal either. Need to show him some love and he'll come good. I think Hughes said early in the season he's all about confidence. Works hard every match I've seen him.

Can't help but think that's what happens when you play him down the middle.

The lad worked his socks off and got a goal. I actually thought he was poor. But I'll take a poor performance and a goal every week

if he's going to play it has to be up front. If he's anything he's a goalscorer, he's useless on the right.

Hung out to dry on the right, looked far more comfortable when moved into the middle and took his goal well.

Still not convinced by him but he has less then no confidence right now. Seems a great bloke and works so hard I want to see him succeed

Seen enough this season to see where his goals in Germany came from. Needs to be playing in the middle.

his first 40 minutes on the wing were a joke. Better in the middle, lets see if he can go on a scoring streak

I think Mame was a brilliant free agent signing and so glad Les was able to get the lad in. The Boothen needs to be singing his name from the off next match. I've said it before but what this lad does (summed up with how hard he works for the team and his selflessness) off the ball is worth a lot. How some of our so called "fans" can have a go at him makes me want to lose my turnips. We really do have our fair share of useless c@nts who call themselves Stoke supporters. I wish all of our players worked as hard as Mame. To show my appreciation just ordered a SoccerStarz Mame figure from the club shop ....

How can we not appreciate his movement off the ball that pulls the oppo's back four apart? Or the ways he instilled fear by tirelessly chasing every ball and harassing defenders so high up the pitch?or how his pace stretches defenses? Also great point too P-Wingy about how strong he is in the air.
