I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I thought that the voters of Stoke on Trent had paid for all of my pension. Luckily, as a public servant, I worked for the whole of the country (keeping us safe from smug drugglers and tax dodgers) so the whole of the country contributed to my pension - at least those who paid some of their taxes did - and a big thank you to them all. There's no better 'smug druggler' than yourself! You 'worked' all your life? Not one of the public sector managers I worked under, did a fcuking days work in their lives! Why the British people have been conned into thinking this, is a mystery! I think it is a good idea not to criticise someone's work unless I have seen them in action. So I can't really comment on the managers you have worked for. But, if they have all been crap, that's a tough run of luck - you've have been much happier working for me!

From your threads and postings, I very much doubt it

First off, he's worth nearly 14 million pounds. So doubt we'll be going lower. Secondly, his red card this week was hilarious versus Guincamp that game was weird... Yarmo off for a red the team shuffles and then sub is sent off 5 mins later lol

So is it Bet365 who effectively own the club, of which Peter Coates is a minority shareholder. Or does Peter Coates own the club, independent of the Company? Bet365 own the club and Peter is a minority shareholder in Bet365. I assume this is for inheritance tax reasons - it would be stupid at his age for him to have a big stake in the family business. I thought Denise was the majority shareholder because it was her who built the company up from scratch, nothing to do with inheritance tax.

Denise certainly was the major player in building up the company up the company - although the initial funding came largely from Peter's capital - much of which was released when he sold his previous business. So, although Denise rightly deserves to be the largest shareholder in Bet 365, Peter's shareholding is tiny (less than 10%)compared to what would have been justified based on his capital input to the start up. I'm sure the family have made a sensible decision to keep his shareholding in Bet365 as low as it is for Inheritance Tax reasons. He rightly lives the life of a £millionaire thanks to Bet365 but it would make no sense for him to have a big shareholding in the company given that he and his wife are the age they are and have children and grandchildren to consider.
