Can I just remind everyone that labels Chelseas entire fan base as scum, we have another thread calling our own fans idiots.... Or more to the point a very small number of them.
I imagine the same applies here. Most ordinary Chelsea fans will be pretty disgusted by this.
Those involved need to be prosecuted and banned for life.

How many of their fans were involved. The club stated this morning it was only "Half a dozen". Strangely the Guardian have taken the video down "for copyright reasons", even though the footage was filmed by an English passerby not involved in the incident. Does anybody have a working link so we can make our own informed opinion of numbers involved.

I'm not sure what difference, the numbers involved make. No one's suggesting that all Chelsea fans are scum, just the ones in this clip. For the record there was about 2 or 3 getting physical and about half a dozen (certainly no more than 10) singing.
Bearing in mind the carriage appeared full of Chelsea fans no one appeared willing to intervene.

Bearing in mind the carriage appeared full of Chelsea fans no one appeared willing to intervene. It's not about intervention though is it? Intervention in these situations only ever leads to more aggression, fighting and violence. I imagine those guys were pretty hammered and would have turned on anyone who had confronted them, Chelsea supporter or not. In that situation, keeping the peace is perhaps more reasonable than putting a couple of fat pricks in their place. The man who was blocked from catching his train will have got the next one, 6 minutes later (they're that regular), nobody is hurt or beaten and the people involved are almost certainly going to face prosecution, bans from the club, and at minimum, a ban from away games. In reality, they'll probably be more gutted about that than getting stopped when it happened. Credit to the black fella though, stood his ground and was willing to try and shove his way past, I dunno, 6 or 7 fat pissed up Chelsea fans to get his train. There's a lot of people who would have bottled it. Those kinds of fans are the cowards who hide behind their buddies until they're on their own, at which point they run as fast as their fat beer guts can shift them.

That is shocking incident. But there should be no difficulty in identifying the perpetrators. Also noticed a black lady disembark from the next carriage down which might suggest there were others involved further down the train. Perhaps even another incident onboard the train that culminated with the confrontation on the platform.

Not too many white English players in their team (or many others at the moment)?
Surely there is enough evidence of them on the metro and elsewhere to pinpoint the culprits
I would expect Chelsea (and indeed any other club) to condemn their behaviour and give them life bans and for criminal proceedings to follow
A small minority of "fans" tarnishing the image of every football supporter.
The club and its fans then face the consequences,

Expect nothing less from them to be honest.
Remember them ignoring the Terry racism stuff then playing the race card to justify their behaviour with Clattenburg.
Every club has its undesirable fans but Chelsea are rotten from the top down.

Not much makes me more angry than people behaving like this! This kind of thinking makes most of the trouble on this planet! People thinking their skin colour, religion, country etc. is so much better than others really are letting themselves down! A lot of these people condemn people like Hitler, but it's the same mindset that lies behind it all!

It also annoys me that all the people who stood on the platform and on the train and watched it. Although I doubt I'd act any differently in the situation it is shocking we cant stand up to this shit.

Without knowing much about the French laws, I wouldn't be surprised if they've broke some sort of law. It's hard to see how you can stop a person going about their daily life because of the colour of their skin without doing so.

I'm sure this must be a minority of Chelsea fans but this is just one more horrible incident to throw on Chelsea's vast pile. I have to say that time and again Chelsea fans have shown themselves to be classless, aggressive, racist cunts. Certainly the worst set of fans in the PL, and quite possibly in the country.

Good to see the police getting involved - should be fairly easy to identify people. BBC News reporting that UEFA can't get involved because it happened away from the football ground. Fair play to Chelsea they are ready to ban them once it's clear who was involved and the police are also investigating Letting their own club and fans down
