The catalyst is the dick in the high viz vest with the IQ of a dried pea (as most of them have) threw a punch and that created the aftermath. Right or wrong that is what triggered it off. Normal match day stewards are decent people. Its the one who work for the security firms like the ones we have down stoke. They are likr bouncers and at the end of the day they enjoy a fight as do some police. Im not saying the fighting is justified but some of these security firm stewards think they are part of the law at the football grounds Is the flask and blanket safe

I was next seat but one to the guy they wanted to chuck out which started the trouble.
I don't for the life of me get the decision to throw out someone for gestering to the home fans after
1 it had been ongoing all game 2 there was 100's more doing it 3 the Blackburn fans were doing the same.
The stewards came in trying to get him out and if I'm not mistakeb it was a steward who threw the first punch which then started the absolute chaos.
I moved out of the way and ended up 2 rows behind the woman who keeled over in his seat, I along with others were screaming at the stewards and police to help this poor woman and some Stoke fans obviously not knowing the woman was ill/hurt and then tried to keep stokies back so the paramedics could get to her
The story on the sentinel that stewards helping the lady sparked the trouble is utter horseshit. It was well underway by then.
Such a shame. BOTH sets of fans were goading each other in that corner and Blackburn fans threw summit in our direction too.

I was at the back in that corner when it kicked off. About 10 lads around me went down to join in. No idea what started it but it wasn't good to see so many Stoke fans carrying it on

My only concern is if your mother sees the report about trouble in the away end you will never travel away again. Trevor be damned.

So would any of this have happened if we had won the game? Doubt it. Plus if we had been given the upper tier would that corner been fenced off??

My mum came today, she does not want come again, after what happened before the game, during the game in the corner and morons kicking off behind us with each other What happened before the game? We were walking down Bolton road, when a guy singing got absoutely floored by a copper, smashed his head on the floor, seemed to have broke his wrist, seemed no need for it.

There was an edgy atmosphere there all day. We tried to go round to the Jack Walker statue and were refused entry by two aggressive stewards. The excessive stewarding and policing outside just added to the tension.

Speaking with my tin foil hat on: it was almost as if certain bodies were willing it to happen. It would certainly allow them to justify both a heavily and widely criticised decision. It did sound like a wholly unpleasant experience all round.

I was not close to what happened, just sore a few hard dickheads trying to get involved from the back. What I do find strange is that no one has got some footage on there mobile phone or are they saying things that didn't happen in the order they think. If a steward did start it by throwing a punch then somebody will have it on film, and he should be fined and Blackburn should be fined foe employing him.I wonder if he worked for the railways and started the problems on the trains. We are getting like the bin dippers always the victim's never the problem.

Walked back to the station and got just ahead of the Syoke supporters walking back. The next minute a flare comes over our head and just misses a Blackburn lady and her two young kids. Why?

We really should be ashamed of ourselves. Bollocks... just because a few idiots (both stokies, old bill and stewards alike) played up why should the rest of us be ashamed? The majority where doing nothing wrong.

My father and I were 5 rows back. The absolutely despicable behaviour over zealous stupidly confrontational approach of stewards and police came very close to causing a horrible incident. Before their testosterone fuelled snatch squad it was tense but the banter was nothing out of the ordinary. I will be making a complaint to Lancashire police - spoke to the superintendent after the match his view was that the afternoon had been "not great" no shit Sherlock.
