You may need to look back on the board. This subject has been covered every which way and, like you say, it's still sh*t. It was raised at recent supporters council and the club reply was that they don't think there is a problem because the whole place is totally clear 75 minutes after the game finishes. Make of that what you will.

The 'traffic stewards' and police were both at it tonight. 25 minutes from Heron X roundabout to the Lexus garage. Missed the first 10 mins.

We parked on the Autonerum car park opposite the south car park
Firstly a lad who worked there was trying get on the car park just after full time to start his shift. One of the yellow jacket busy bodies told him he couldn't come on the car park. There were spaces coned off for the workers but yellow jacket wouldn't have it until another yellow jacket told him let him on
Then, we wait ages get off and they start forcing cars to turn right. I got to the front to be told to go left. When I asked why I got told it's the traffic management policy
Absolute bollocks They clearly have no clue what they are doing and I feel If they let us fans sort it out ourselves we would do a whole lot better...
It's needs sorting...

Quite a simple solution
Pedestrianise all areas around the ground on matchdays apart from the road upto trentham that gives access to the car parks. allow exits down trentham road or onto the a50 - but not to turn right at the harvester car park as that wud be the taxi / bus only bit
Only allow taxis and busses around other parts of the ground apart from permit holders for the people who work at other companies around the ground
close access on the a50 exit upto heron cross 15 minutes before the end of the game - and keep the lights on green
easy

The Police did a belting job of causing delays back to near the Crem on the leek road. Some genioius decided it would be a wondeful idea to block the road heading to stoke with a police van to keep 2 Man City Buses in the laybay outside the uni. When finaly got to the Uni, the coppers were having a laugh and a nice break and complety oblivious (or maybe lauging) at the mayhen they had caused. All in all meant I missed the first few minutes. Coppers well and truely like my arse

night matches are always worse as everyone is trying to get there inside one and half hours whereas on weekends people drift in via stoke, boozers, power league, cricket clubs having been there from about 12 onwards.
the closer to the ground you park the longer you wait, perhaps that's why everyone pissed off on 76 minutes !!!!

It was raised at recent supporters council and the club reply was that they don't think there is a problem because the whole place is totally clear 75 minutes after the game finishes. Make of that what you will. Think you will find that for most large stadia/arenas that clearing the immediate vicinity and car parks with 75 Minutes is perfectly acceptable. There are approximately 3000 cars parked on the South Car Park/Trent Car Park/Stadium Car Parks/Cricket Club/PowerLeague/Rugby Club/Screwfix etc - it is going to take time. The problem is too much car parking, close to the ground. You will struggle to find many stadiums with as much parking within 1 mile as the Britannia Stadium.

Been mentioned by a few on here (myself included) that the club should invest in traffic infrastructure around the ground. Making it easier to get to and from games will help both the existing and new fans attending games.

After the QPR game I noted on here that the South car park chaos was due to the fact the traffic mismanagement system keeps that car park completely shut for 45 minutes so that pedestrians can aimlessly parambulate down Stanley Matthews Way, taking up the whole road. I also noted that this was stupid, since beyond the mismanagement sphere of influence (i.e. ten yards down from the South car park) the road operates as usual and pedestrians must get back onto the pavement.
Last night they hilariously managed a worst of both worlds approach. Pedestrians were still at liberty to wander wherever they wanted, but cars were also slowly released into the crowds of people one at a time, so you had cars trying to trundle through a mass of pedestrians.
The people in charge of this stuff are comedic geniuses.

Traffic from behind the South Car Parks can only go right down Sir Stans way. Using both lanes purely during match times where the lights at the end are "managed" to allow traffic off easier. Traffic from the car parks behind the boothen can only turn left onto the A50. Traffic from Powerleague/Greens etc can only go over the bridge and right onto the A50. With the lights properly managed. To help this stop any cars approaching that roundabout from the left/harvester entry on the roundabout. This will be used as a pick up area. If you arent there by 70 minutes tough. They can wait for an hour. Until someone spends money on some roads/a train station. It will stay like this. Ideally the car parks need direct connection to the dual carriageways. And the Audi roundabout needs sorting. At present as others have said, it still a complete mess Tra

Because putting the one by the Lexus garage to one has seriously fucked it up, there was a queue to the A50 after the QPR game.

Agree with the last two posters, BO and chad. I was in the shambles outside The Harvester/hotel and never seen so many cones in my life. Could finally understand why my mother used to refer to them as dunces' caps.
As for the buses, a club rep should take a look at Elland Road. There, there is an old bus a few metres away where you can pay, (but it doesn't have to be a bus) so that the driver or steward does not have to deal with payment, thus holding up passengers. Simples.
As for getting on to it, you are ushered between metal railings, instead of having a line three or even four deep, like that at the Brit, pushing their way on to the bus, amid much aggro and frustration, which takes up time. And of course they split up the line into the relevant number for each bus, so that three buses are mounted simultaneously. Einstein's brain not needed, just common sense.
It is horrendous for those of us with a train to catch and I actually have to pay £15 more, on the London train, as I just miss the earlier cheaper train by a few minutes.
Please can a director or other of the club hierarchy just try it for once? No more times will be needed.

I might (will) get a load of flak for this but ...
I never park near the ground. What's the point? I hate queues and waiting (for anything).
I don't mind a brisk 15 minute walk - so park onstreet away from the ground. I never have a problem.
I KNOW THAT SOME FOLKS CANNOT WALK BRISKLY AND THEREFORE HAVE TO PARK NEAR TO THE GROUND.

The more annoying thing about the busses is that 99% of people don't have to pay as they have return tickets. FFS load em two at a time !!!

If they just let people get on with it, it would clear in half the time
Came out of CC at 10:15 and there was nothing until we hit Greens but there was a bloke still standing by the coned off road down past the Power League.....why It was still coned off is a mystery because the rd was empty !!!

For every one who complains, another one is happy. Hundreds of cars get clear in the first 1/2 hour, if one car breaks down on a motorway it backs up in no time, its no different when hundreds of cars try and leave at the same time.

What us oiks in cars have to realise is the club give priority to VIPs and home coaches as they pay the most for parking, then it is the away coaches and railway coaches as they have trains to catch and the OB want to get rid of away fans asap. What I can't get my head around is the fact that about 10 OB used to do the traffic plan and although it wasn't perfect it was a hell of a lot better than it is now why didn't the Traffic company just copy what the rozzers used to do and perhaps they wouldn't need the hundreds of muppets they now seem to use, it must be costing a bomb
